  1. Hi All,

We just recently changed our plans where we were initially driving to Boston from Toronto to pick up the Dawn to now flying in to BOS and taking a taxi to the port in the AM (Don't worry, we arrive early!).

We had plans on bring pop on board the ship. It now looks like we will have to make a stop with the taxi at a grocery store in order to make this happen. Anyone out there know of a grocey store close to the Port that would be an easy stop?

  2. When we get off the Dawn we are planning to rent a car and spend the day sightseeing before our flight home the following night. Does anyone know if there is a car rental place close to Black Falcon? Renting online is a little difficult not knowing the streets.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi all,

We are thinking of booking a Catamaran snorkelling trip outside of thr cruise line while we are docked in Bermuda - same trip, just cheaper. Anyone have any reccommendations on who to book? There seem to be a few.

  4. Thanks for the great info! I can always rely on CC members for the real story. My TA is an NCL TA.

After the final payment last week we were assigned our cabin wich was supposed to have the two pullmans - and of course it did not. He is now searching the ship for a cabin like this. Maybe he should be looking here!! I have sent him another email letting him know I did the leg work and deck 12 is the place.

    Crossing my fingers!!

  5. I think that is what we will do if we do not get a room with TWO pullmans. That is what I requested and NCL is trying to honour that, but I am prepared for the 'sea of beds". U shape seems like the best option.

I did find photos of that set up online - and a crazy Youtube video.

    I miss my balcony already...

    Thanks for the tip.

  6. Help!

I have been doing much research on the cabins and was ready to book our family of four. However, I was going to make sure that we got two pullmans instead of the dreaded hsptl bed/trundle I have seen pictures of. Doing my research!! :D

However, I have now been told by the TA that the DAWN does not have ANY cabins with two pullmans. All cabins have that dreaded trundle when attempting to sleep 4 in a room. Now, let me explain why I say dreaded before I have someone tell me that I am not in the cabin much and it really should not make that much difference; my son is over 6 ft as well as my hubby. They do need a good night sleep. It's an issue.

I really didn't want to pass this cruise up but might have to. Can anyone confirm or deny this info?? Help!

    Thanks!

  7. Quad question!!

We previously sailed on Carnival Pride last year in a quad balcony. The way that Carnival set up the quad was very spacious; the couch turned into a bed and a top bunk pulled out from the wall on top of the couch and the two singles became a queen. Enough floor room to navigate.

We are about the book the NCL Dawn for a Bermuda to Boston trip and I keep hearing horror stories about the way the quads are set up. I have heard about a trundle and then about 4 twins on the floor or just one upper leaving absolutely NO floor space to move about the cabin.

Has anyone travelled on the Dawn in a quad and can show me a picture?? I need to know what to request before we book.

Added note - this time the Dawn in an inside (unfortunately). No balcony for this cruise. :(

    Thanks!
