Does anyone remember when/if HAL updated the list of eligible cruises? They are not exactly rushing to keep the list current (e.g. today is 02/03/2024 and the list still shows 01/30 - 02/03 - 02/04 sailings). Have they added any sailings since the first announcement back in 11/2023?
I am not planning for a cruise this year but this program might work for me in 2025 (if it still exists then).
Good Luck and Bon Voyage to All who have taken the plunge!
! am seeing an updated list now. Shows cruises through the end of
April. They also updated the wording for when you will be notified if you cleared the list. Now says "Payment is not a guarantee or promise that Cruise will have space/availability for guest; guest will only be cleared for standby to cruise when/if the guest receives official confirmation from HAL approximately 7 days before Cruise’s departure or up until cruise embarkation date."- 2

We successfully sailed standby earlier this month on Nieuw Statendam, however we didn't receive confirmation until 8pm Friday (1/5) night for a 3pm Sunday (1/7) departure.
Also be aware that on the standby program, you're INELIGIBLE for ANY onboard credit offers. We were denied stockholders, military, first responder and AARP OBC. In my opinion, the uncertainty, the extreme last minute rush, the loss of onboard credits, and the lack of information from Holland just makes this a NO GO for us in the future.
What cabin category did you get?

A hint for those of you with a laundry package. Ask your room steward for the last day that you can send laundry. For us it was a day earlier that we thought.

Can you get actual bottled water (not in a can) and/ or sparkling water during the happy hour? The menu is not clear.

When you change the date/itinerary of an onboard booking, do you still get the extra OBC for booking onboard?

The coffee house breakfast usually ends at 10am and doesn't offer any hot food. We generally have a hot breakfast with coffee first at Blu or the buffet, turn down the many coffee refill offers and then head to the coffee house breakfast for another cup of coffee
What is included in the coffee house breakfast? Is buffet style or ordered from a menu? Any photos?

Is anyone still able to book it for your sailing?

For those of you that have had the OBC applied to your booking, are you able to use it before your cruise?

If you don't use the barcode trick, when does it show up in the booking?

For those who are members of cruisedeckplans, Is a date given for when the photo was taken?

We did this just last week. A few weeks after returning from our Zuiderdam cruise, we booked a new cruise using an older FCD along with the ZPM code.

For those of you that have done a back to back in New York, what has been your experience? Where there any excursions offered for the day? We are considering a back to back on the Bliss this winter.

Any updates on Club Orange on Zuiderdam?

Thanks for starting this thread.
Where was the 3 star reception held and what time was it? Also what are the current times for fixed dining?
I will be doing a partial Panama Canal transit on Zuiderdam next month.

I just started roll call for the October 30, 2019 cruise.

Has anyone been able to get Diet Sierra Mist on the Gem? If so, where? Could use use the beverage package ? Thanks.

How late is it safe to stay and still get a minibus back to the Dockyard?

I am booked on the Koningsdam in April. The Freestyle Coca Cola machines are listed as being available on the Quench Package and the Elite Signature package and specifically excluded from the Signature Package.

"Calling and Messaging Package has a nominal one-time fee for making unlimited onboard calls and messages during your cruise."
How much is this fee? We will be on a one week cruise if that makes a difference.

Does HAL do anything special on July 4th? We will be on Veendam at Half Moon Kay from 7 to 3.

Agree, except if this is a 4 day/4 night cruise, it's a repositioning (ie Pacific Coastal). Assuming I am correct, there is no Gala night on this segment.
I am on a 4 day coastal in March and was surprised to see in the docs that there will be one gala night.

No, I don't have personal experience or knowledge of this type of cabin, but if you go to this link over at Hal Facts, you can view similar cabins on Westerdam's sister ships Oosterdam and Zuiderdam, who had these cabins added in their dry docks already. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page, and you'll see the two "Observation Deck" cabin photos/brief reviews (cabin 10009 on Oosterdam, which is a verandah, and cabin 10024 on Zuiderdam, which is an inside). Hope that helps a little.
Thank you.

Has anyone been in these K class cabins that were added in the recent Westerdam drydock? Would love a review and or photo.

Mack, Thanks for posting your food blog for the Serenade. Found it very helpful as I will be on board next week. You mentioned having a coffee card. Could you get any size/type of coffee for one punch?
Incredibly frustrating how do I purchase internet only?
