  1. We did this back in 2019 and it was fabulous.  I have done them a number of times different places, first time for the wife here.

They spend some time getting everyone trained up and comfortable.

The one challenge here is you will be going up some very steep terrain.  Down was very gradual however.

We felt very safe the entire time - quite a range of ages as well.  It was a great way to see a lot of things, and the guide was very informative.  Many short stops to discuss what you are seeing and hear some of the history.

Enjoy!  It very good (I am assuming there is only one).

  2. I just booked this cruise and came across this thread and panicked.

Absolutely nothing against those wanting to book an alternative lifestyle cruise but not one I personally wanted to be part of.

From what I can tell the FOTS is all open booking and googling Freedom charter for that date I came across a website indicating this has been changed. This also makes sense because the original poster had this listed as a 6 day western and the Freedom is now 7 day southern.

    Best wishes all,

  3. Heading out on the Epic soon and trying to finalize those last minute details.

The Epic shows arrival time on the return at 8:00 AM which seems odd to me. Every cruise I have taken out of Florida always seems to be a 7:00 disembark.

Can anyone who was recently on Epic out of Port Canaveral confirm what time self disembark realistically starts and how long to get through customs?

Is a 9:00 AM bus to the airport realistic? I'm not worried about flight times - I just don't want to be sitting curbside for an hour waiting on a bus.

    Thank you,

  4. We were on the Jade for the last Superbowl. Stupidly we went for dinner not realizing the party spread NCL had everywhere.

As previous poster mentioned - they will have the game on pretty much everywhere, including in rooms.

They have a great Superbowl party type spread/food in the locations the game is being shown. Seating was a bear but to their credit their NCL staff kept bring chair after chair and chair to accommodate the crowds. The UBP was in high use!!

It really was a cool atmosphere to watch the game.

Only downside - it's not a normal feed - so if you watch for the commercials you won't get them.

Enjoy! We will be on the Epic for the next Superbowl game - if only my team would be playing (sadly I doubt it  )
