@ktwedding2010 how much was the tour, did you have to pay to rent chairs and an umbrella at the restaurant?  Was “beverages” included in the price?  Thank you

Hi- we paid $1880 for the 13 of us.  If I remember correctly, the boat can hold up to 20 people and it's about $60 per additional person.  There is also a group charter option if you don't want a private tour.

The beach included the chairs and umbrellas if you used the restaurant or there was a free section to the right but I didn't see chairs there.

Water, soda, beer and rum punch were included on the boat.

    Hope that helps!

Also, how do you contact them?

I looked for our tour on their website (www.Kuralu.com) but I just checked and looks like it's not up at the moment.

You could contact the owner, Gary at kuralu@gmail.com or the office-284-495-4381. We spoke a few times to plan and he was very helpful.

  3. We just got back from our cruise and I wanted to recommend Kuralu.

I had trouble finding catamaran suggestions so just wanted to share our experience for others who may be in the same boat (no pun intended 😄).

We had a group of 13, so we chose a private charter on the Daydream sailboat.  We were only in port from 700 to 330 (all aboard was 230).  We met Captain Mike and Goose at Village Cay marina, a short walk from the port.  Only about half of our group wanted to snorkle, so we chose one snorkle stop and some beach time. We had a relaxing ~45 min sail to our snorkle stop at Norman Island. Captain and Goose shared some of the history of the islands on our ride.

For those that wanted to get in the water they had snorkle gear, noodles to float and threw out the "beer ring" for those that wanted to float with a beverage.  There were 3 caves that could be snorkled, we stayed only near the openings but saw some beautiful fish.  From there we continued on to our beach stop.  We anchored off-shore and some of us chose to swim in while others took the dingy to shore.  We saw two large sea turtles on our swim in!  Pirates Bight restaurant was on the beach and several of us chose to eat lunch there.  Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.  After some beach time, we headed back to the boat and set sail back to the marina.  The kids (and a few of the adults😉) were having fun getting splashed sitting on the front hammocks on the way back. We arrived back to port with plenty of time to get on our ship.  We had a great time and I would highly recommend Kuralu Catamarans.

We did the mud baths this last time around, which also takes you to the waterfall and the beach at Jalousie. We had a great time. (We've used Spencers twice now and highly recommend him).

If you are into snorkeling, Jalousie is the absolute BEST! Like seriously!

But if you are interested in our mud bath/waterfall day, you can find a complete review I did on our day there, located HERE (click) and there's TONS of pictures. If there's one thing about the mud baths...they sure make for some great pictures to show back home. 🤣

Love the picture lol😂.  I actually came across and am still in the process of reading one of your reviews, it's fantastic! Great pictures and details of the trip.  I'm now really looking forward to the snorkeling part of this trip, we've snorkeled a good bit but have never seen anything like what's in your pictures, very exciting!

The nud baths are at the volcano.

If you opt for the volcano walk/talk, you'll see the mud baths off to the side

If you opt for the actual mud baths, you'll see the volcano off to the right when you drive through at the end.  The mud baths themselves are right in the caldera.

A quick Wikipedia read on the volcano is about what you'd learn on the walk tour.  Lol.

Lol Thanks!  I think we are leaning towards doing the mud baths ☺️

We did that tour and went to the mud baths. We enjoyed the whole day. The boat had an issue so they picked us up in a different boat but it was still great day. The baths were not exactly what we expected. Thought we would submerge in a pit of mud. That doesn't happen. You go into hot water then come out and they have buckets of mud that you put all over your body. Then once it's dry you go back into the natural hot water and rinse off. Skin felt awesome afterward and we loved the total excursion. The beach stop is beautiful. Have fun!

    Great, thanks for the info!

  7. Hi all!  This will be my husband's and my first time in St Lucia and we are looking at possibly doing Spencer Ambrose's tour.  We would need to choose between going to the mud baths or the guided volcano tour.  Does anyone have experience with either/both of these options and have recommendations of one versus the other?

    Thanks!

  8. We are arriving on the Oasis in October and are looking to book either the "Buck Island Sail and Snorkel" ($48.00) or the " Turtle Bay Sail and Snorkel adventure" ($59.00) through the ship. Other than the type of ship, I don't see much difference in the excursions. Does anyone have experience or opinions on either of these. Our other option is booking independent of the ship with VI Cat, for $75pp.
