No, its goes 2-5 and 6-8. But, I've heard of them making exceptions to allow siblings into the same group.

All ships we have been on the 2-5 and 6-8 groups are dropped off in the same place.  the rooms are usualy connected and in some cases the room is more of a large room with dividers for the different age groups.  the evenings after dinner, before the paid night owl is  often a themed party.  I remember things like pirate night,  princess and knights, ...  at those times I think some of the activities are mixed with the 2-5 and 6-8 group.  they usualy came back with some sort of themed craft, and often had their faces painted.

with your kids being pretty young they will probably also checkout a phone to you.  its a wireless phone that connects over the wifi so that the kids club can call you if they need to.

On embarkation day you should be able to tour the rooms and talk to the staff before the ship leaves.  then I think the first time you can drop the kids off is after dinner the first night.  expect a longer line that first night as everyone if figuring out the procedure and verifying the registration.

  2. My question is can you take your food from the buffet up there to sit at lunch, on some of the other ships with the second floor the the buffet seating that was always a good meeting place for family as seating was almost always available and you could spot the rest of your party easy.

If the answer is yes, is the seating also available for breakfast?

  3. From the Carnival shore excursion FAQ page

Are there any children's prices for shore excursions?

Yes. Children between the ages of 4 to 12 years and teens between the ages of 13 to 18 years will be charged full adult price, or special child/teen prices when applicable and noted. Infants ages 3 and younger sitting on a parent’s lap and therefore not occupying a seat, are not charged for most shore excursions. These excursions are indicated with the 'Infants Free' advisory. There are also some shore excursions that require that each guest purchase a ticket, regardless of age. This will be noted in the specific shore excursion’s description. If a parent would like their infant to occupy a seat, where it is not required, then the parent must purchase an excursion ticket for the infant at the published excursion price or child price, where available. Parents are also responsible for bringing a safety seat for their child if required.

The Carnival excursion page for these cabansa does not mention age exclusions. My thought was that they wouldn't say anything if all the adults had bracelets and the kids didn't, but we all know what happens when you assume. I was just wondering if anyone had experience with young children at this location. I think the best option is to e-mail the shore excursion department and get an official response, and go from there.
  4. We have been thinking of renting a cabana for our next cruise. We (myself and my wife) will be traveling with my sister and her husband, and my parents as well as 3 children ( 3, 1, and 7 months). do you know if the children will need their own ticket, or would we only need to pay for 6 adults? we were thinking that the cabana would be a nice place for the babies to get out of the heat if needed. but if our group requires 9 tickets (2 cabanas +1 extra person ) it would cost almost $600 and I don't know if we could justify that.

  5. we will be on Carnival this summer round trip from Seattle and are getting flights booked. We return on Tuesday morning, how long does it take to get to the airport, and is the Seattle airport usually run smooth?

there is a particularly appealing 11:30 flight although that early would make me very nervous. dealing with a 2 hour time change makes landing times back home a bear. I know I will probably get a lot of grief for even wanting to book such an early flight, but I'm ready for it.

Also which pier does Carnival use? I have seen two different piers mentioned.
