Crime #1: 1/2 ships muster stations blocked for over 24 hours. Drama added...multiple,100s, five gallon open cans of flammable chemicals on board!

The 100% credit is ONLY for the base fare. All other charges(including taxes) are not included and must be paid again. A few younger regular cruisers are taking the deal. I am in USA. Many flew from UK, Australia, New Zealand, Tasmania, Israel, Canada, Germany, Turkey.....many different languages heard on board, lots of scooters, oxygen canisters, who had to

pay out of pocket for breathing treatments, (due to toxic fumes) Really feel they deserve more compensation, for sure.

BECAUSE I don't have the money! For taxes, port fees, gratuities, excursions, (oh, I could just stay on the ship the whole time) hotel for one night, and flights.

My post has been confirmed. It is on the Carnival Message Board. Communication from an official at CCL. Never sailed on CCL, myself.

Within 24 hours passengers offered flights home if they wish to get off ship, ( I would love to have been offered a flight home on Day 2 or any day of a 16 day cruise SUN,when the toxic chemicals were brought our for all the see), 100 % REFUND, (you get cash, not offered to SUN passengers), and 50% credit for future cruise.

ALL we got is 100% credit of the FARE toward future cruise on NCL. TRASH to me. I spent a bucket list savings account to take the PANAMA CANAL cruise. As did the majority of fellow elderly cruisers from around the world. It was not a 7 day go to the Caribbean Cruise. Several are still sick ! A crime was committed. But "sorry" I signed a ticket to relieve NCL to do whatever they wanted to do.

No NCL management official has even posted an apology on CC.

Very impressed with how Carnival has immediately offered help and compensation to effected passengers.

I was on the NCL Sun Panama Canal cruise from hell. Horrible they have only offered a cruise credit.

Read Carnival has offered flights home, 100% REFUND and 50% credit for future cruise. WOW! WTG!

Well, Carnival came up with great compensation after a water line breakage on board the Dream today. WTG!

Much better than what NCL has given it's guests on "the cruise from hell". And it was NO ACCIDENT! Sneaky, and little regard for passengers health and safety.

Carnival will give a FULL REFUND to effected passengers. AND a 50% credit toward a future cruise. I am holding out for a better offer from NCL.

The subject is NOT dead! Finally local papers are picking up the story. Poster was only sharing “new” news to them. Some Passengers from the 16 day Panama Canal Sun NCL Cruise are still very ill!

Yes, I do know "how the press works". That's why we had all our social media and documentation started BEFORE we left the ship ! Not an opinion, but truth. Look at the pictures! You can't make this up. I very much am offended by your use of the word FAKE in your first sentence.

No. 1. It is a credit of base fare only. I spent close to $10,000 for my once in a lifetime trip. I am not a regular cruiser. Credit would be in the $2500 range.

No. 2. No answer from NCL on this one. I don’t want to go on another cruise. I’d transfer credit if I could.

No. 3. Never!

I was on the cruise.

Can I do that on my oringinal post “Things not going well on Sun” ? It was locked, and many refer to it.

Or ANYONE else! I was scared on ship, and still even more terrified there is no outcry to push for safety on ships.

What will prevent this from ever happening again? I do not want my children or grandchildren ever being in a similar situation. It was blatant negligence. Most of you here don’t seem to get this, yet!

I had become lax in reading all documents connected with cruising. Be sure you understand what is and is not covered before you make final payments. Things don't always go well.

The cafe was indoors some, back deck was dirty, stuff flying in air, and very noisy from sanding machines. Out front near pool are was strong fumes and chemicals spilled on decks open for walking across. Avoided at all cost. Would take elevator down under if I needed to go from forward to aft.

yes garden cafe very crowded. Only choice on port days for lunch. I threw food away when I could not find a seat. Ate a lot of BLT sandwiches thru room service and paid extra charge.

A few times finding a place to sit with a plate of food was a challenge. Once I was so tired of walking around I just threw the full plate away at clean up stand. Told crew I was sorry but no place to sit! Only place to eat was the main dining room with the same lunch menu for days they were open. I think it was sea days. Port days only garden ccsgr

My butler was no problem at all!!!!!!

It was all about noise, fumes, areas closed, areas not closed, and would like to have had a gas mask!!’

Bolidt. Google this company. Star is next on their list. I am the OP of this thred. Had no idea how bad it was going to get on the cruise. Do your research. Panama Canal Sun.

I was on the Sun's Panama Cruise from Hell ! You can read posts on a "page" called Panama Canal Sun.

It was days of removing old decking material and applying a new compound.

That company has a list of NCL ships scheduled to have same work done. STAR is next in line.

Good luck to you all. You have been warned by a group of fellow cruisers concerned for your safety, too.

large group of passengers gathered to complain yesterday. Not good. Lots of construction and toxic fumes. Noise. Closures. No one knew of this before boarding. Captain claims even he didn’t Know. Strange. But people are having breathing problems. One person claimed to have a $5300 groom medic help.

Exactly the info I needed to be at peace before cruise. Thank you. Solo traveler and was getting concerned. Reviews are very good for the hotel but not the area. Will plan to stay in after arrival in the evening (front door delivery) and breakfast before transport to ship.

Any feedback on this hotel would be helpful. Plan to stay one night pre cruise.

Did a little research. I think poster was on Getaway out of NYC. Anyway, I am boarding the Sun on 3/16. I hate to read reports of people not getting good timely medical care on cruises. Hope the poster arrives home soon to recover.
