Anyone?

Hi All!

We are taking the Bernina Express to Chur, then staying the night in a hotel (recommendations pls), then we'd

like to tour a little, on our way to Milan.  We will only have 4-6 hour to tour, then we need to get to Milan.

Can anyone recommend a tour company and a Car service that will take you to Milan?

We are back from Italy!! Fabrizio was great!! We ended up rounding up (Tour was $ 280...we gave $ 300EU). Right or wrong, everybody was happy! Dwayne & Kelly

Thank you all for you answers. We leave in about a month, and money is still tight. It will be weird to tip $ 10 on an 8 hour tour, but I want to be respectful of their culture.

Can you tell me what % to tip Fabrizio? We have him booked for two tours! One in Rome, then one in Tuscany. They ask to get paid at the end of each nights tour. Is it our usual $ 15% - $ 20%?

Hi All,

Hope you don't kick me out of the club....but these CelebrityCruisers are doing Italy by plane. I have promised my wife a honeymoon inItaly...and that was 4 years ago! We just can't swing our trip by cruiseship. They want too much upfront...and the balance too close to that (didn't itused to be, final payment is due 30 days before? Now it's 90 days beforedeparture?).

You fine folks recommended Fabio and All Around Italy Tours. Weare doing 3 days in Rome, 2 days in Venice and 3 days in Tuscany. This is acompletely independent itinerary, and as this is our first trip to Italy…we area little nervous.

We have partnered with atravel agent to arrange transportation and a few little shore excursions..butwe were hoping for Fabio (or someone) to give us a tour..off the beaten path.Show us a great place to eat (non-tourist) and etc.

We wanted to same in Veniceand in Tuscany (wine, food, romantic spots).

Does All Around Italy Toursdo Venice and Tuscany? We have rooms in both places…so it wouldn’t be a Rome to???? day trip…back to Rome thing.

We would appreciate anyrecommendations you may have.

Good chance you dint come in here anymore...but u still want to say THANK YOU! I will be getting married Feb. 2018 in Nassau and am also using WITB. I stumbled upon this post and just read all 10 pages non stop. So insiteful, funny, and needed. Especially the reception. I've been trying to figure out how to do it. It's not offered for free in RCI, but I will make sure to be there in time and may go ahead and extend to 2 hours. Thank you so much again. And years later, I bet you're still a beautiful couple.

Can someone tell me about what an 8 hour tour of Rome would go for...and a nice tip?

You can call and they'll tell you what they think it will be. They think its the same hotels and pricing for this year. For example, I am going to the Med in May of 2015, they said its about $500 per person PER NIGHT for the pre cruise hotel stay, which included transfers to the cruise terminal in Rome. Which I found to be too expensive so I already booked my own lodging and am staying 3 nights pre cruise, and got our hotel to send us a car to pick us up at the airport, and after 3 nights, drive us to the dock. Easy to do if you'd think you might wanna try it yourself.

Hi I love your story and have given such insight!!! I plan to elope in Nov 2014 Bahamas cruising carnival. Really wanted celebrity yet the dates just didn't work. I wanted to know how long did you finally receive the link for your photos. Was the photography included in package? Really thought u would get link and they would send u a wedding album.

It was about 20+ days (to the day) when we received the link to our pictures.

It felt like forever. I liked the pictures...Kel...not as much. In looking back, i'm glad we only spent what we did...and didn't go over-board.

With everyone having a smartphone with camera, some of our best shots were candid pictures from our friends and family! We only really used 3 - 4 of the wedding shots. I still haven't edited our video yet...which I find more exciting than the still frame.

Hey All!

My wife and I will be taking a much delayed Honeymoon (see our much read Cruise wedding post http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1930867) and Cruise to Italy and Greece next year!!

We will be on a 10 night Celebrity Mediterranean Cruise...but first..we want to spend a few days in Rome!

Celebrity usually offers Cruisetours...but as of this post....nothing? So we are on our own....

...and our first trip to Europe (well...the Med).

We'd like to find a semi-private tour (i.e. small) That will show us around a bit..visit some LOCAL food spots..help us with the money exchange (if needed) etc.

We are not interested in being packed on a bus with 100 other people...or being dragged to one tourist attraction or the other (all day).

I guess we are looking for the type of tour a friend or family member would take you on (if you were visiting them in Rome).

We are not rich..but we are willing to pay for a good experience.

Can anyone help?

Yes....The PoopDeck was open for drinks. Many of our guests bought drinks, while we had our pictures taken. We had music playing during that time, also...

One word of caution...about your reception. Make sure you allow enough TIME to get from the PIER to the SHIP (and your reception).

We were LATE arriving at our reception!! :eek:

Give yourself an extra 30 - 45min BEFORE your reception.

That pier is LOOOONNNGGGGG!!!! (and you have to walk through a crowded shopping area).

Hope that helps...and do yourself a favor...take some time to enjoy this moment....this day will be over with...SOOOo fast!!

You two make a stunning couple. I enjoyed reading about the logistics leading to your lovely wedding. So much work and expense but if the photos are any indication, so worth it! I also admire your determination to pull this off without going into debt.

Thank so much for the kind words! We actually had very little drama in the planning and executing phase...due to our NO DRAMA policy. We actually had more drama post-weeding....some of which, still lingers til today.

First of all - I love your wedding outfits! Both of you!!

Second of all - no need to take a cruisetour thru Celebrity if you want to spend extra time in Europe - just come down to the relevant sections of the Ports-of-Call boards to get loads of info on planning your own pre/post-cruise travel.

Where are you planning on travelling?

We booked our honeymoon cruise while we were on our Wedding Cruise. We were unsure of the pricing..so we just booked the cruise part. Now we are interested in expanding our time in Europe....but we can't find any info?
