  1. Like the idea. Maybe it could be done as a ship category under the cruise line heading then each ship have a page under that topic like the roll calls just not a specific date...general ship I fo and questions for that ship. I would find that helpful for Celebrity ship I have not been on prior.

We just noticed the wording specifying that tips are charged separately when you purchase

the drink package with Celebrity, we have always cruised with the all inclusive, tips have

traditionally been included, has anyone else noticed or have had to pay additionally?

Tips are no longer included in the AI package.  I just found this out when I recently booked.

  3. Just curious since we sail in 10 days...anyone know who the current staff and captains club staff is onboard the Millennium?  I have not seen any "live" reports from the current sailing and did not see anyone on the prior sailing share the staff page that is usually in one of the dailies.

For a Sky Suite, access to the Retreat and Retreat Sun Deck and dining in Luminae.  If you bid successfully on a RS, Villa, PH or Iconic you will have unlimited specialty dining and laundry at least twice on the cruise, upgraded champagne and probably a few more things I can't remember.

So with the AI we have the classic package, so we keep that can use that in Luminae.  In the Retreat (lounge / sun deck) would we be able to get drinks that would be considered Premium?

  5. I have been reading all the threads I can but am still really confused on move up bids and acceptance.  I did an upgrade a number of years ago and I remember that we didn't get the higher Captains Club points but I believe at the time we received everything else for the class.  I see people mention general suite perks and particular perks related to their particular suite.

My question: We are currently in a Veranda cabin with AI. If we bid on a suite (sky or other), what will we be entitled to besides the actual cabin?

Thanks in advance for the information.

They should keep track of the kids points until they are 18 and then all of them will accrue at once. However it is a good idea to keep old sea pass cards just in case you need to prove that one of the kids was on a cruise that they may have not gotten the credit for.

I agree as this was what I was told previously for my minor.  I would also keep the seapass cards or invoices just in case.

I held for nearly 2 hours today and decided something must be wrong.  Got fed up with them thanking me for my patience.  I phoned another number on the cell and got through in about 20 minutes.  Jennifer helped me save $486 on a cruise booked last April.   This took a fair while.   I hope I get the double points also but I'm not sure since it was not a new booking today.   I also made it into a B2B and the price today on the added cruise was definitely 20% lower than earlier this week.  Meanwhile I was still being thanked for my patience..............

Happy for all those who did even better than I did.  And yes, I got the email this AM re the sale.

Could you share what number you used?

I reached out yesterday on the number listed on the Best Price Guarantee page and was on hold for over 1.5 hours and the rep that picked up said that he couldn't do anything but would transfer me to someone who could.  He transferred me to Royal Caribbean who was really confused.  She transferred me back to Celebrity.  After about a total of 3+ hours I got a rep that said she would assist...she could not and transferred me again but stayed with me checking with me about even 4-5 minutes until she got through to a rep.  The final person I spoke with supposedly filed the paperwork and told me that I should see an OBC but that it would take up to 14 days.  Just would like to be able to verify that something is in process.

I believe it may just not be listed in the daily.    I know that nightly when we go to the Retreat around 7:30 that they have live music at Ensemble Lounge -  Last night a female vocalist that reminded me of Enya.

Just looked in today's daily --- Bottom Right Corner they have all listed.

Really miss the pianos in the lounges especially Jordan Peterson.  He was by far one of the best lounge entertainers on Celebrity for a few years.

  9. Looking for a reasonable hotel in Ft Lauderdale for one night before November 29th cruise.  I see information on this page but much of it is not current so looking for updates and opinions.  Prefer a hotel that includes breakfast and has airport shuttle.  So far I am considering:

Fairfield Inn & Suites - 2081 Griffin Rd Dania Beach

Hampton Inn FLL North/Cruise port - 2301 SW 12th Ave

Holiday Inn Express - 1500 SE 17th St Causeway

Interested in opinions/experiences with these hotels.

    Also open to other recommendations.

  10. The check-in for my Nov 29th cruise opened at 12:01 am this morning.  Completed check-in in the app by about 12:15 am and the only time available was 3:00-3:30pm.

How do you get an earlier check-in time?

I know they don't want you to arrive at the port early but currently I am flying in the same day (I know not ideally, working on trying to change) arriving at FLL around 9 am so most likely will be at the port much earlier than 3 PM even if I take my time claiming baggage, etc.  What does everyone else do these days since check-in and waiting inside does not seem to be available?

In support of goofysmom99:  I had two reservations for a holiday cruise this December, Aqua class rooms, for wife and I, and the other room for daughter.  Just today I was able to change one reservation to Edge holiday cruise in December 2022 for a suite that can sleep all three of us and the nonrefundable deposit transferred with no penalty.  The other reservation was canceled but the deposit was able to be applied to the now single reservation.  Happy Elite Plus customer.

    Thank you
