Does anyone know if I purchase a private plan aside from the cruise line, I for instance have suffer a heart attack in Paris or wherever, do I have to pay upfront and then file a claim with the insurance company???
In reviewing these policies.
It appears that you are responsible for paying the charges
Then you have to send in to get reimbursement.
One almost needs an attorney to review the policies 🥵
Can anyone suggest (not Holland) a company that would have cruise cancellation insurance along with good medical insurance if needed? Cancel for any reason.
Prefer companies that you’ve had recently used.
Holland only covers $10k for medical, which in this day isn’t nearly enough.
Just spoke with my TA. She told me reimbursements from cruise lines and or travel insurance cancellation policies is slow slow slow. Still due to pandemic financial problems.
We currently have. cruise booked next February for the Panama Canal
I’m hoping that being triple vaxed will be good.
My question is, does the ship do random tests? And if you test positive could they possibly ask that you leave at another Port?
This is all very confusing to me.
Hopefully by November when my final is due the negative tests won’t be a requirement.
Otherwise I’ll likely cancel and do the US Virgin Islands where I don’t need a test to enter nor coming back to US.
We have not sailed Holland before. Mainly because of their past smoking policy. Very allergic. Recently we decided to book a trans Atlantic. I understand from Holland’s site that smoking is prohibited on balconies. But after reading some reviews I am concerned. Many say that passengers still smoke out on their balconies and even after reporting the problem the crew does nothing. Am I just a bit over concerned??
