I just returned Sunday. The ship is comfortable, the shore excursions are interesting but logistics need some work. Being a mixed passenger/cargo ship makes for interesting landings. The landings are small villages. MOst of the beaches were black sand or rocky so snorkeling was limited.There are several hikes which I passed on since the weather is very hot and humid The crew is friendly and helpful. The majority of the passengers were French, then Aussies and Kiwis. There were 12 Americans, out of 159 passengers. The Marquesan culture is disappearing so go while there are still traditional handcrafters and performers. Contact me @ bizmompb@gmail.com for more details.
