  1. Just finished late-night snacks at The Local with Gummi-Bear-Nancy, Slot-Pull-Sue, Scavenger-Hunt Aled, and at least two others.

And of course Will makes an appearance, thankfully after the bars shutdown.

The question of the day... when will Sue wake me up?

I bet you don't see Will in the mornings! lol

  2. my friend and I booked studios on Escape...we booked them March 2017 for a May 2018 sailing (over a year in advance)...the price was $1099 for a 7 night sailing....the price has only gone up....as of today, the price is $1599....I haven't seen studio cabins on any sailing for less than $1099 for 7 nights...so, I'm happy with that price...

I got a studio cabin in December for $699 with the drink package included.

  3. It's a horrible and outdated ship. Stains all over the carpets, cracked tiles, rust all over the ship, my bathroom toilet had a permanent black stain that wouldn't come off, nightstand door was cracked, and the ship is just plain worn down! Then again, most of Carnival's ships are either like that or failing CDC inspections.

  4. Over the past year we sailed with NCL three times, the big ships Getaway, Epic, and Escape. We are now booked on Carnival Pride for the end of May. The last time I sailed Carnival was 1991:o so I have a few questions:

How cold are public areas in the evening?

Are any bathroom toiletries provided (shampoo, conditioner)?

When are upgrade emails typically sent out?

Is the steakhouse worth the extra cost?

Is the Social Wi Fi plan good/reliable?

Is FTTF worth the extra cost?

Cost of average drinks (Bloody Mary, rum & coke, etc)? We're thinking about not adding on the beverage program.

Any other specific Carnival and/or Pride hints or tips would be appreciated!

My tip would be to cancel and book another NCL cruise. Carnival’s product is nowhere near Norwegian.
