Best deal I found for our May Icon cruise was the Cafe Select Coffee card for $12.99. I have never seen this on sale and it seems to always be $31 so thought it was worth trying it. 

Not completely unexpected. I doubt there were many sailings where the number of Diamond Plus was small enough to allow D+ to visit the lounge anyway. 

We had a balcony on the 7th deck Anthem of the Seas last month and always pick starboard due to port being the smoking side on most of the other classes. AVOID the back lower decks on starboard side on the Anthem. We did smell smoke (mostly when docked and not moving) and the noise was also bothersome. Lesson learned…..

The Captain was asked lots of questions about the Miami fiasco and he told the audience that Royal has to slot the planned ports 2 years in advance. Going to Miami after hitting international ports is far from ideal and after deeming it difficult to get passengers to do what is required (get off in the first stateside port and clear customs before anyone being allowed back on), I believe RCCL will avoid this situation in the future. 
 

He even stated that he went to the gym at 11:30 to get a run in and a passenger came and got on the treadmill next to him. We were all supposed to be off the ship by 10am. He looked at the man and told him to get off of his ship, but people are just selfish and don’t always follow the rules. 

We were on the 8 day Halloween sailing that included Miami at the end. I can confirm that it was a disaster and this change is a huge improvement. There are always going to be selfish cruisers that think the rules don’t apply to them and that translated to people being stuck in the arrival hall for 4+ hours without food, water etc. Consider yourself lucky that they made this change because I know I would never intentionally book this itinerary again.

Really appreciate this twangster! My kids are young teens and this is new from our last pre-COVID cruise. We were going to get the soda package for them since it’s a holiday cruise, but this means we won’t need it. Thanks again!

So kids under the age of 18 can get soda or virgin drinks from their selective status? Or is this only for those over 18 years of age? Just curious as I will cancel the soda package if my teens get four free drinks a day.

We had a 9am flight on December 16, departing from Harmony. Had plenty of time to spare and we were traveling with kids. I wasn’t so stressed that I wouldn’t do it again. Of course things can go wrong, but it was worth not having to sit around all day trying to catch a later flight. 

We just got off of Harmony on Sunday and we also had reservations for the comedy show. Once on board we received a message stating that the comedy show was cancelled. We inquired further and we were told it was just on the Mediterranean itinerary due to so many long days in port. Disappointed for our sailing, but I think you will be fine once she gets to Florida. She is a beautiful ship!!!

Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing....we are boarding in 80 days and are very excited! How did evening dining work? We were never given the option for regular main dining. Were the waits crazy long at dinner?
