  1. I was just wondering if anyone had booked their cruise and after they had arrived on board, asked if it was possible to get a room upgrade? I was thinking along the lines of upgrading from a Balcony cabin to a Suite.

I am traveling on Azura later in August and in some of the videos I have seen, the Balcony Cabin looks a bit small.  I travelled on Queen Elizabeth last year and the cabin was much larger.

    Just curious.

  2. I am a semi professional photographer so I use digital cameras for my photography and can easily take 200-300 photographs per day. So on a 14 day cruise I will take around 3,000 depending on how many stops we make. To be honest I do this even when I am not crusing.

Although I use a variety of cards, I find the best way to store them on the move is either on a laptops hard drive (if it is large enough,) or on a separate portable hard drive. Memory cards are too easy to lose, and you can keep the small laptop and portable hard drive in the room safe if you feel that is necessary. Occasionally I will take the laptop with me on a day out and download the photo's on the bus as we return to the ship. This avoids eating into your onboard time.

Windows 10 laptops with 11" screens can be bought for around £250 and you will be able to re-use it on any holiday you go on in the future.

I also like to give people we have made friends with some prints during the holiday. You can normally do this at the photography station.
