It seems this is a real confusing mess but it all boils down to a few things. First, we want to know when or if this policy will be rescinded or extended or amended. Also, part of the problem is determining fitness to sail-are people who are 70+ with diabetes or COPD ever going to be able to sail again even if their doc says they are fit to sail. I understand restrictions when covid is rampant, but what about later? If I am never going to be able to sail again (50 cruises) that is fine, but let me know so I can get refunds and make other plans. By CDC and the cruise lines waiting too long to make decisions it screws with final payment dates, refunds etc. I am almost to the point of cancelling 4 future cruises, taking my money, and going on road trips.

Well, if they enforce the over 70 policy, it would reduce the number of Diamond and D+ people such as my wife and I.

Is that included in the price of the water park? My niece only cares about the balloon ride-can that be purchased separately. Thanks for all the info.

The TA is shortened to 11 nights and fewer ports. The 8/24 was extended two nights which will be on sea day and Istanbul!

It usually takes a while for RCI to provide the official response. Ask this in the Roll Call thread for your sailing.
There is no roll call, but someone told me the cruise is back on and will be 14 nights instead of 12! Yippee

The cruise for next August ( probably chartered) has been cancelled but I have not heard anything about options or compensation. Anyone?

I just got off the phone with C&A, He confirmed that both the med and TA were what they call code red, meaning no spaces can be sold. We are booked on both, so hope it sails as scheduled.

We recently purchased a yearly policy from Geo Blue which only covers medical and evacuation because our credit card covers cancellation, trip and baggage delays. Hopefully we won’t need to use it but since we are on Medicare which doesn’t cover us outside the country, we felt we needed something.

Regardless of the specifics, the distribution of tips has been developed by those involved in order to fairly reward those providing service.
No need to reinvent the wheel. If you tip the recommended amount, it will be fair.
We always prepay and then add at the end of the cruise.
I have also started giving random tips to those who likely never get one-the washy washy person at the WJ, a guy painting, etc. It really makes their day. I simply keep some ones in my pocket and give them out spontaneously.

Joyce Prince gave us the best such trip we have ever had-40 cruises! Bernard also fantastic. You can't go wrong.

All the passengers who had to stand and wait while they tried to track your selfish butts down beat the snot out of you.

We have the GeoBlue Trekker. We have medicare which does not provide any coverage out of the US, and that policy gives us med expenses and evacuation. If we have to cancel a cruise, we lose our fare, but are willing to roll the dice.

Let it go. Crew member did not deliberately harm you. They apologized and offered a medical check up. Called later to see if you were OK.
Be aware that if you really want to pursue it, you could cost that crew member their job.
Ship happens.

We have stayed at the BW Elkridge many times. Usually go to Timbuktu which is about a mile away. Fantastic crab cakes-about like G and M.
We have sailed on the Grandeur more than any other ship and hope it never leaves the fleet.

Hello everyone, and Welcome to DAY 4 of “LIVE” from Anthemof the Seas.
Today we are approaching Halifax, Nova Scotia and should betied up to Pier 21 by 10AM. We had to move our clocks forward last night to beon ships time. All passengers should be able to go ashore by about 10:30AM.
My plans today include renting a car and driving over toPeggy’s Cove. I am also planning on going to the Citadel and the MaritimeMuseum. I am sure a stop to Tim Horton’s will be possible as well.
I am hoping there will be enough time to do some shopping atPier 21 where our ship will be docked.
Here are a few photos from this morning. Thanks for tuning in.

It’s time for Breakfast and Coffee
We pick up the Pilot for our transit in the harbor
Welcome to Halifax

We have rented a car there several times. Ryers is very close to Peggy's Cove and has the best lobstah at the best prices. Outdoor picnic table seating. Have fun.

And why would you want to take a lesser deduction for your kid? You don't have to take any deduction if you don't want to. The Feds would appreciate the extra money you send them.;)
I was just being sarcastic, Ocean Boy. The same folks who want reduced rates for their kids are all for full rates for their deductions.

I am in the process of doing my income taxes. I called the IRS and asked if I could take a lesser deduction for my infant child. Unfortunately, they disagreed with my reasoning and insisted I take a full deduction just as if they were a grown adult.
