A big thank you Joe for your comments. JIm and I did cancel the Oct. trip. Just didn't seem right but we are planning to go on in April after reading your remarks and watching cbb's comments. I believe they are on the April 2018 trip! Have a wonderful day! Karen

We have not felt even the slightest bit unsafe. I can echo the words of our guide today in Jordan....don't believe the media.

 

 

 

We just are back from a 12 hour tour of Petra and Wadi Rum. I will sum it up in two words. SIMPLY AMAZING! We were lucky with temps in the high 60s today.

 

 

 

So I say - GO! :D:D

Joe, We are offered a chance to go on your itinerary this Oct. (I wanted to be on your April trip but needed rotator cuff surgery). I am ready to cancel due to all the travel warnings. Please advise how you are feeling as you travel. Thanks! Karen

We had a very early flight out of Barcelona on the second day (ship was overnight in port). Everything went like clockwork. We left the ship around 4 am. As anyone who has been to Barcelona knows it is a long way from the ship to the outside of the cruise terminal. I have mobility issues so was dreading the long walk. At the first turn I was met by a staff member with a wheelchair. He took me down to my luggage, arranged for a porter and then escorted me right to a taxi. No traffic that early so we arrived at the airport in very little time.

We are scheduled on a flight out of BCN at 6:45 am on the second day in Barcelona on the Riviera. I figure we will have to be at the airport by 4:45 am....would you book a transfer with Oceania at $79 pp or get a taxi...would they be available at that hour?....or book with a limo service to meet us at the pier at 4:00 am? thank you for any words of advice you can give us!
