I know that we always wait until later on cruise day to avoid the crowds. If you can do that it makes boarding simpler for everyone.

Thank you for your reply.   I enjoy arriving at my time and getting aboard.   Although it may be simpler  arriving later but I enjoy starting my vacation on time.   Being handicapped doesn't mean I need to alter my times or plans.

I was just inquiring if things had changed since covid.   Thank you

My sister and brother in law are on the Horizon now.  They rented a scooter for the cruise, and said that they picked the scooter up outside the ship.  The companies are not allowed to deliver it on the ship anymore due to COVID protocols.

Thank you.  I will call the scooter company and inquire.   Thank you for that information.

  3. Hi all!!

Cruising on Horizon for the 2nd time during Thanksgiving week 2021!  I have rented my scooter that will be in my state room when I arrive.   The last time we cruise Horizon I was brought to a separate boarding area and placed into wheelchair due to my mobility issues.   I must say it was the most easiest I have ever been on.    Fast forward to 2021 and I wanted to know if anyone has experienced embarkment since the Horizon started back up.   Feedback greatly appreciated!

  4. I will be renting a scooter for my Bermuda cruise on the Gem.   I have an inside room and am looking for guidance on where to park it overnight.   Is there enough room in the cabin or are they parked outside your door.   On Carnival I had enough room in my cabin.  Princess allowed all scooters to be in hall or in the rooms.    I have not been on a NCL since starting using a scooter for my mobility.   Thank you in advance.

  5. We are on the Horizon on Saturday.  Yay!!!!

How is anytime dining done on Carnival?  I thought I read that we do not just show up at the dining room and get seated.   Can someone guide me through what I need to do.   Thank you in advance

  6. How does this work if someone is using a big mobility scooter/wheelchair? Do you still press x1 per person, or give an extra push because extra room is needed? I guess the same question applies if one is 'fluffy'.

Anyone have any experience with this? This is a very good post and would love to know how the scooter options work here....

  7. Can someone explain the muster process on Carnival. Each ship is different as some make you bring your life jacket and others don't. Some make you go to your life boat others don't. First time with Carnival. Thank you in advance.

  8. Does anyone know of any transportation options that will assist me down the pier to the islands. I do not need a scooter but I do have mobility issues walking distances (such as piers) We will be in Aruba, Curacao, Grand Turk and Dominican Republic. On one cruise there were people who rode rickshaws for a small fee. Does anyone have any experience with these ports and options?
