If you go to Squaremouth.com - you can shop medical insurance covering interruption, etc...Rates are much better than the Carnival insurance and costs the same or less.

I can easily live without a suite and club access on the night before a cruise I am not looking to impress anyone. We book early and then check weekly for new pricing. Our room for July has gone from over $700 to under $500 in a matter of a few months
We do the same thing....use booking.com and recheck rates. Room for mid June is well under $500.

But the room is close to $1000
We are staying there on June 14th and the room is $445. US. We booked via Booking.com...that includes all fees.
If you check often, the price changes quite a bit - book early and it is no where near $1000.

No need for nightlights for us. My wife uses a flashlight when getting up in the night. She claims I'm nocturnal. We didn't find the light with a sensor to be that big of a pain to cover the sensor. It didn't stay on that long and we liked it added extra light when getting to the shelves and safe by the bathroom and closet.
I am such a light sleeper - that sensor light would wake me up. If I need it during the day for the closet, I just turn it on at the wall switch....

We cruise a lot ----usually every month or so. Always pick up the medallion at the port. Never had to wait......very easy and one less thing to pack.

I never have a problem with the Princess site going down in the evening...it could be your provider.

I can help you out with that.
When your group of 9(how nice!!) gets off your ship, your going to bottleneck out of port security to your left then go to the right into town.
Your not solo like myself. If I were you I would find a minivan taxi never a problem and pay them to take you and pick you up at an agreed upon time to and from Eagle Beach. They'll be a ZILLION taxi drivers as you walk outside of security.
With a group that size your own taxi van with just your family is the way to go. You can work out a very reasonable fee and time to be picked up.
I'm solo for me it's very easy to take city transportation but in your case you can all go together in the same van for a very reasonable price.
Nice palapas for rent at Eagle Beach.
It's nice. Your group if you get there early you can rent a couple of them right beside each other. With 2 loungers, I'm not sure what they cost a palapa and 2 chairs is around $25 a day. Great deal great beach.
Passions at the Beach as you go down the ramp to the beach will be on your right, I recommend you getting palapas close to Passions. Get your palapas BETWEEN Passions and the Beach not on the side, go up front get you a couple of palapas where you can see everything plus if you get thirsty or hungry Passions is right there. GREAT food I found their menu for a beach bar, incredible. Best seat on the beach.
I don't know if you can rent palapas ahead of time. I've never done that I just get to the beach EARLY find me the nicest palapa, drop my backpack pay the man, and get the party started.
I guess you could email Amsterdam Manor and check OR get your group together early and get to Eagle Beach.
Unless there's a large number of ships in port there really shouldn't be too much of a problem renting a couple of palapas. Have a nice vacation and when you get back please don't forget to give us a review. Take care
Two weeks ago, at Eagle Beach, they were charging $35 for an umbrella and $20 for two loungers. Palapas are free if you get there early enough to get one. The guests from Amsterdam Manor across the street have first priority on them. Lately it has been very crowded.

Eagle Beach has been very crowded lately - if you go after 11am, there will be no where to sit....just there two weeks ago and on the next trip, we will go elsewhere.

Even if the room isn't ready when you board you can always drop off the bags & go straight to lunch.
That is what we do.

We cruise a lot and always carry our large luggage on the ship. Have never had a problem. They fit through the scanners just fine.

Thanks, now I can start looking for EWR<>Cruise Terminal transportation.
Anyone have a car service recommendation?
Yes, call Carmel Car Service - they are excellent. Have used them many times when going in to NYC.

Princess always leaves from the Red Hook terminal in Brooklyn.

We have been on many , many cruises and when we book a balcony , we always book right across from the aft elevator...Have never heard any noise at all on any of the ships.

If you are a reader - of books, not kindle - please drop off your books in the library when finished. That will keep an ongoing supply.

I always buy single day usage of Internet. I buy the plan around noon so I actually have use of it for two days in that 24 hour period. I am elite so get the 50% discount but it is still expensive.

Catch the Lumberjack Show in town...it is very good.

Just off the Regal on the 25th - Captain Gavin Pears hosted a wonderful cocktail party . He is very personable...much better than sitting at an assigned luncheon table with one officer...The party allows all the officers to mingle...sometimes at the luncheons, the captain does not even attend the entire event....We are just happy to be there!

Come on folks...VOTE...it's your right and duty. One grain of sand x thousands could make a bump in the system.
Now to get rid of the Electoral College.
I received my notice from my stock broker.
