We just got back on June 2 from a cruise on the Allure and when I checked both Uber and Lyft between 0800 am thru 0945 am prices were double to what I paid when I disembarked at 10am, I didnt have to rush b/c I had a 2pm flight so we waited for cost to start dropping. My uberX from Fort Lauderdale port to Fort Lauderdale airport was $14.40. So not sure what Miami would cost.

Definitely 10 am to the port. From the port should be when you feel like it in terms of how long it will take to get home. Figure you will spend an hour to get back to the hotel and retrieve your car. On a weekday morning I wouldn't do a port pickup before 9 am unless you really have to get on the road.
Would we be off by 9am, we wont have expedited off and we wont be doing carry all luggage off either, b/c we are traveling with a group with small kids, etc...
Thanks for all your help!

First time cruising out of Cape Liberty, so we are driving in the night before for our Anthem cruise 9/21/19 from South central PA so we will be coming out 76 to 81 to 78, so looking at booking thru Trinity at the Spring Hill Suites, it will just be me and my 18yr old son. Started the reservations and not sure what times to put in the shuttle to and from port, can anyone make any suggestions? I thought maybe 10am to the port?? But what time from port? Thanks for any input.

I am going on my first Royal cruise in Sept, but have cruised 10x on Carnival so not new to cruising or Casinos :). Just curious, how do points accumulate on Royal, such as at Slots which tend to be what I do the most when cruising??
Anything I need to know to make my experience the best it can be in a Royal Casino. Any info appreciated!
Thanks!

I cant believe there were still $100 GC available. So I snagged 4 to put back for my July cruise. Already have several for my June cruise.:D
They usually sell out quickly.

Thanks for the info!!

We are cruising out of the Norfolk port for the first time and I have a few questions for those who have cruised out of there.:o
Anyone know the address for that port? I cant seem to find an address for it in my searches.
Also, where do you recommend parking? At the port parking?
Or find a hotel stay cruise option? If this option is the best, any recommendations?
We are traveling from PA and will be coming in Saturday, and heading to port on Sunday.
Thanks for any advice or info you can provide about this port!;)

The $100 Carnival GC on Verizon Wireless are available again today.
So get them before they are sold out. You have to check frequently because there is no rhyme or reason as to when they are available.
I just snagged 4.;)

So excited to read yet another review of the Pride by you!! You relieved my anxiety about cruising on her last June and now I am leaving again on her March 26 and have another one booked on her for July 23.
I LOVE the Pride, and cant wait to be cruising next week!
Reading your review this week wont help but add to my excitement!! LOL!!

Go to the Ocean Players Club website and fill out the contact form with the date, her VIFP #, and cruise ship name, they may offer her something for the cruise.
Good Luck!

We have done the tour both on the Sunshine and Pride, and we felt it was worth it both times.
As for day they do it, we were told the last time we went on that tour that it is always the last sea day.

If I were you I would post this question under the Ports of Call --> Caribbean --> Jamaica thread, you may get more info there.
Hope someone gives you the answer you need soon! Thats all the help I can offer. I have only been to one of those ports.

Does anyone know when the $50 deposit offer ends? TIA.

So excited to be reading another review done by you on a cruise ship we will be sailing on soon!!
Hubby and I will actually be boarding the Sunshine the day you and your son are debarking.
Cant wait to read the rest of your review!!:D

I am booked at the Garden Inn and they did, indeed, confirm over the telephone that it was round-trip transportation. We sail on Sept 3, so I'll confirm once we return.
Please do tell us of your experience once you return and anything we might need to know. I just booked this same NYC Park, Ride and Cruise rate at Hilton Garden Inn Ridgefield Park for out Oct 17 sailing.
Look forward to hearing from anyone who goes before we do and uses this deal! THANKS in advance!

I took my own, they did not have Stevia on the Pride in June.:(:(

I say just do it!:D
Hubby and I are in our 40's. We find things to do that we enjoy, such as the casino for me while Hubby watches over me;), Comedy club in the evening, Shows in the evenings, and strolls around the ship whenever we like. There is always something to do or something to eat. :D
We napped in the afternoon if the notion struck, and we went to bed anywhere from 10p to 1am, depending on what we did that night. We were never bothered by noise during naps or night time hours. We did have an aft balcony cabin so we spent some quiet hours sitting out there. Plus hubby sat along windows seats different places around the ship to read, while I was either in casino, or shopping in the shops on the ship.
Our last cruise there were a lot of kids but then it was in the summer. We spoke to several people on our cruise and most were our age or older.
Just book it, and enjoy!!

I am super excited for you!!:D
Hubby and I will be GOLD on our cruise in Oct and I am super excited to be moving up a level. Of course, that move to Platinum looks to be a long one. But oh well, I will have fun trying to get there. :p

We are on the same cruise. The weather can be hot, and it can be cool. We usually bring light jackets and sweaters for the latter. See you on board!
Thrilled to see you are on this cruise b/c I LOVE your reviews!! We are NOT on your cruise but we are on Sunshine in Oct for a 5 day Canada cruise.
So I will be anxiously awaiting your review. I read your entire Pride review before we went on her in June and we LOVED the Pride and your review helped with all my anxiety from previous posters comments. By the way, our Oct cruise is a Bounce Back offer b/c I spent too much time in the casino:eek:, but I LOVED every minute of it. :D
Sorry OP, for hijacking your post but just had to tell Jamman54 how much I appreciate him and his posts!!:p

We just got off the Pride June 19, and both elegant nights we saw people wearing all sorts of attire from a Tux, to a sports jacket, to polo shirts, and even some shorts with tshirts.
Just wear what you are comfortable in, and dont worry about what everyone else is wearing. You will look FABULOUS and can get some great photos while your at it.
Hubby wore polos on casual nights and elegant nights wore suit and tie. But that is how he chose to dress, or should I say I chose. LOL!!
Have a GREAT cruise!!!:D

I ABSOLUTELY enjoyed your review! I had already read a great review by Jamman54 and he made mention to your review. So I decided if I had time I had to sit and read yours too. So glad I did!! You took awesome pictures, and gave great info!!
We leave tomorrow, and after reading Jamman54 and your reviews, I am super excited and feel a little more informed. So thanks for that!:D

Thanks for all the replies!
I feel better about it all now. :D

:cool:Thanks so much for the info!!
Since I read your review I am not as worried about some of the negative I read on here. Thanks again for taking the time to write such an extensive review!!:D
