  1. I too have been following your dilemma.

I am hopeful that your credit card company will come through and you will get you money back.

If so, you still need to punish the TA that intentionally charged your credit card for someone else's cruise, whether to cover up another fraudulent charge she made for someone else, or to pocket the money the client may have paid her by check or cash.

You need to make comments on her facebook page, or broadcast her name somehow.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise! You certainly deserve it!

  2. Reference my TA using my CC as a loan to themselves, with the charge being billed as to RCCL, how would they get the money? Charge my card to RCCL and then obtain a refund to the agency? Not sure how it would work but definitely not ruling it out. Something about this TA is off and unusual.

I'm doing my best to be patient. It's hard when it's dragged on THIS long. I don't want to sail without having this resolved.

Your travel agent would charge your card, and collect cash from another customer to cover the payment on their cruise. I know it sounds crazy, but it is a possibility.

Have you checked with the RCCL to see if you actually have the onboard credit applied to you cruise. That would indicate that RCCL acknowledged the initial mistake. If its no there your TA lied about that too!

  3. I love cruising solo! I've done around 7 or 8 solo cruises. My favorites were in the Mediterranean. Lately I've been cruising out of NJ. I love driving to the port from my home on Long Island. I will be cruising to Bermuda on the Anthem on Sept 3. I love meeting new people. If any solo cruisers will be on that cruise please let me know.

  4. I booked a 5 night Bermuda cruise, on the Anthem, for Sept 3 back in March of 2015. My booking invoice, as well as the information on "My Cruises" states that my final payment is due on July 5. I was recently checking other cabin options on the same cruise and noticed that the final payment date is June 5. I was wondering if my cruise will be cancelled if I don't pay my final payment until July 5. I don't want to loose my cabin. Will they contact me before cancelling my booking?

  5. My Friends and I are booked on the Ovation, leaving in 3 weeks. Our stops are Belgium and France. We are flying in and out of London. The events of the last few days have made us contemplate cancelling. We were so excited to visit London and Paris, but now we are being urged to avoid tourist attractions. How can we enjoy? I'm not afraid of being on the ship, but to fly all the way to Europe and then be afraid of where we go is upsetting.

  6. I believe that you can get a refund on your reservation if the price drops before final payment, but there have to be cabins available in your category in order to get the lower price. If the category is sold out, no refund. You could always completely change your category and cabins if you find a cheaper price.

  7. You Monday morning Quarterback's should stick to second guessing the Panther's playcalling.

You have no idea what information the ship had on this system.

Believe it or not- some storms are unavoidable. Also, sometimes conditions change. Sometimes it is for the better, and sometimes they deteriorate. If they were given information about the storm and it predicted 50 knot winds and they intensified, that is not the fault of the Captain.

Sure- you may be D+members or whatever but you're not a master mariner with YEARS at sea nor do you have the same information they had.

Before you call for the Captain to walk the plank perhaps you should know all the facts.

    I completely agree!!!
