We always take Amtrak to Penn station....catch a cab to the Doubletree Suites Times Square then cab to the the pier. Very easy to do.....no stress...have done it with my wife and 2 kids...I was concerned the first time bit no issues at all

We were on Lido and it was quiet with the exception of when people met in the hall to socialize....that was just cause there was a whole family in about 4 or 5 rooms.....

Don't worry if the line looks long at the taxi stand outside Penn Station...it moves really fast.....just make sure they know the right pier..both times when I said pier they said brooklyn?....I say no...the one by the USS Intrepid....then they said....oh..ok

Done it 2x in last 6 months. It should be about $12 but depends on traffic...last time it was $22 because the streets were just jammed.....We do Amtrak from CT and its a very easy transfer

We went 1 night in October and then again this April and really enjoyed it. The first time it was about half full and last time it was completely full. The service and food is excellent. I would really recommend it . Go hungry because it is a LOT of food

Have done it on the Carnival Splendor..late October and again in early April and even then the.first sea day is COLD ...because even if you are lucky and go during a relative warm spell, the ocean waters are still in 40's and that obviously makes the air cold. The second day it starts to warm up a little...lite jacket...it won't really get shorts weather til you get down to georgia/Florida area...on a ship like the Quantum it is extra tough because there is no retractable top over the Lido deck so it forces everyone inside...l.on the Splendor ateast you could use the whole Lido and pool because of the top. I think I would fly down and leave from Florida...otherwise half the trip is cold/cool just my opinion

I agree that Cape Cod is probably too difficult for a day trip. Traffic is unpredictable and can be a nightmare.

Yes they have the burrito bar, Tandoor, Mongolia wok and rotisserie. I have to be honest about the new plates....it was much less crowded feeling without all those people carrying big trays...

Since you have already decided that you will not be cruising Celebrity, then you have several options at this point......Do a chargeback on your credit card for the amount.....yes you can do it....it will force Celebrity to respond to the chargeback request OR USE SOCIAL MEDIA......facebook or Twitter. Companies HATE someone poisoning the future business pool.....they often respond almost immediately.....

Hi! We just booked our trip on the Splendor and we are very excited. But, I am a little concerned and here's why: a friend who also travels often with Carnival is on the Splendor right now. She called me from port and said the service is the worst she has ever seen with Carnival! She said they seem understaffed and just too exhausted to give the service she is used too. (This girl is very low maintenance) has anyone else experienced this recently on the Splendor? I am going during Spring Break so I know it will be full, but one thing I have always been able to count on was Carnival's exceptional customer service. I'm a little worried!
I just got off the Splendor yesterday and thought the service was excellent. Plenty of smiles from the crew all around the ship......Overall I thought the Splendor service was better than my last Carnival cruise on the Legend....

You can absolutely "get away with this". I wish there was more of this in the world. There are plenty of years ahead to be pushed into a mold. I have seen this on someone before and it was very striking in appearance.

I noticed that many recommend calling to check on available perks before leaving on a cruise. Does anyone have the number to call? I looked through different threads but couldnt seem to find it.....thanks!

My first cruise was in August, 1988 on RCCL`s Song of America. Tiny inside cabin. WesternCarribean. Remember going to Labadee as a stop.....Wasnt anything there yet...just bathrooms, a shade structure and plastic chairs. Oh, and yes.....I was hooked!
