We sail on the Epic in Feb 2024. Nice to read some comments here, as other reports are disturbing (30+ minutes for drinks, same for MDR regardless of reservations).
One comment above seemed to indicate that the Epic does NOT have Starlink, but an Internet search says she does.
Does the Epic have Starlink? How is the performance?

What is the current delay in boarding, for testing, etc? Going on the 12/9/21 sailing, NYC to Bermuda. I've read about having to wait in line for 1-2 hours, get tested, wait for results, then back in a line for another couple of hours.
Is it really that bad? I will have a 90 yo in our group.

I can't post half the things I've seen on a cruise :0
Well that's no fun! ;)

Yep. He built upon some good ones and kept the laugh going!

On our cruise on Norwegian Gem this past summer, during one of our sea days. A very drunk man walked over and threw up in the pool which was crowded full of people. It was smack in the middle of the day. Everyone started hurrying to get out and were yelling and screaming. The drunk guy proceeded to give everyone the finger and curse them out (as if they were the wrong ones)! Go figure....
It makes me sick thinking about it.....thank goodness I was not in the pool at the time! It became such a ruckus because this guy had men wanting to kick his but after that. Security came, but I don't know what happened to the guy. We never saw him the rest of the cruise.
On all night pool scrubbing duty, I hope.

That would have been funny. Especially if he went looking for the luncheon! Picture him asking around!

Ever had one of those moments when you are waiting for the elevator becuase you are wearing high heels and your long formal gown, and start staring at the door of elevator anticpating it's opening? Well, the doors finally opened and there was this was probally a refined older lady who had her panty house down around her knees and her dress pulled up really high (like over the stomach) and all she can say is GOOD DAY sorry to have blinded you my dear lady (in a heavy English accent that I could not decide was real or not.)
The door closed on the elevator and keep going down without me!
Err- was she alone on the elevator?

I guess we've gotten lazy and dropped the "hard" from "hard alcohol."
Shall we update the old saying to "Three peoples, confused by a common language."
Hmmm, on second thought, it was "hard liquor."

A friend of mine just married an AD Army officer. He/they is/are forbidden to travel to Mexico. Period. DK if that's everyone, or just his specialty.
And I think, but am not certain, that the ban applies equally to her.

I need to qualify my previous post. Just got off the Crown, where we had a Lido Balcony. The night of the Ultimate Deck Party was horrible. VERY noisy, and it didn't end until midnight. Even then I wouldn't have minded much - except to meet our excursion the next day (showering, breakfast, etc) we had to get up at 6:30.

We had an inside on the Ruby on Lido, and loved it. Great location. Now, by chance, we will be in a Lido balcony on the Crown next time out. Fine by us.
And I second the comments about the elevators being less busy.
We felt no motion, unfortunately. I was hoping to feel at least something.

This thread may be dead, but following the tips presented, I can see freighter travel is not!

Nice. But YTer said the wait was at all bars. More than one YTer, I should add.
I'm going to quit fussing and think positive about this trip. I can always take all three of our cards and order two drinks per card. Since one of us doesn’t drink, this should work well.
Based on posts here, I think I might upgrade our Internet package.
Thanks to all!
