Another for Runner Bean..... great tour, we did the gothic tour with them.. they are a first class operation. We will be returning to Barcelona and will do the other tours they offer.

This tour is one of the best tours I have done.. We had a blast

I LOVED the horse racing.. they still do it on some Journey cruises.. its fun!

which sweet wine did you get if i might ask?

We bought a Moscato at the dollar store in FT Lauderdale!! 3 for 10... we are nothing, if we are not classy folk!!

It was very yummy

Last cruise we brought our own sweeter wine.. "borrowed" a pitcher from the Lido.. and got limes, oranges and limes.. left it in our fridge over night and enjoyed it on the Serenity the next day.

It was GREAT!!

Im pretty sure they were only going to cancel their reservation!

On that note... I was not impressed with the food.

Go to Ji Jis.. one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed

The concept was wonderful.. We couldn't wait to try it.... I was VERY turned off looking at all the offerings baking in the sun... lots of choices... looked great when they opened... it quickly looked yucky.

I was in the same decision making process... I chose the Magic out of Miami for March of 2019..

The Breeze is a wonderful ship, but we like leaving out of MIA/FLL.. there are a lot more families on board for March Break out of Port Canaveral.. not that that is a bad thing, it was just one of the factors in our choice.

We have often just gone to the coffee shop and purchased one of the desserts when we find out a table mate had a birthday/ anniversary.. the coffee shop people have written in chocolate on the plate for us... it has always been lovely.. and only 2-3 dollars

WE have the full face snorkels also... I cant say enough about how great they are...

They had one Zumba class during our week.. one of the dancers was an instructor... it was good

We have a family cruise book on Dec 16 out of Port Canaveral on the Magic... Carnival has given us Nassau and Freeport in our Itinerary.... Surprise, they made sure that we didn't find out about it until a few days after final payment..

I am NOT happy at all about this, I avoid these two ports always... It horrible not looking forward to a cruise...

There was no free wine on the Sunshine in March in the Cucina,,

I'm with you... I wont book until they change ships.. and I LOVE sailing out of San Juan

I agree with the OP regarding the buffet on the Lido.. I think ALL ships are busy during spring break.. this one was fine.. we always found a spot to sit.. and never had a problem finding food!!

I too read way too many negative reviews on the Sunshine that I almost canceled and booked another ship for our March/ 16 cruise.. Boy am I glad I don't listen to other people!!!

We had a great time.. the O.P is right about Ji Ji's.. best meal on a cruise in a long time.

The Sunshine has its weird quirks.. horrible comedy club lay out.. just get there early, people expect to arrive as the show starts and get a great seat.. that aint gonna happen..

Main lounge works the same.. we hated the seats on the floor.. preferred to sit up a bit on the sides.

We had a GREAT time.. wonderful people.. beautiful ship... and the nicest Serenity deck so far.

People LOVE to snark on here like its their job!!

P.S.. it was our 18th on Carnival

The Lido deck cabins are always my first choice.. close to everything, and generally quiet hallways.. sitting on the balcony during a deck party can be a little noisy but not crazy loud.

If the Lido is unavailable, I choose the 7th mid ship no too close to the atrium doors.. because that can be NOISEY at all times of the day!

But so far I have always been very pleased with Lido rooms.

We sailed the sunshine at the end of March, I can honestly say I was NOT looking forward to the ship based on reviews..

The ship has its weird quirks, but I think it was one of the best cruises I have been on!!

I too am addicted to Ji Jis.. we ate there twice... I don't think I have had a better meal in a long time.. we also ate the Steakhouse and Cucina.

I would have no problem booking the Sunshine again, and am glad that others take the time to review it in a positive way.

We have done this itinerary a few times..

Grand Turk... just sit on the beach and relax with a beer.. walk just on the other side of Margaretville, and buckets of beer are much cheaper in price.. just bring back to your lounger and enjoy!

Aruba.. Jolly Pirates... EXCELLENT tour.. have done it 3 times, and am going again this year.

Curacao... Irie tours... cheep and cheerful.. or a walk around the port is nice if you want to grab a drink and sit and watch ... its perfect for that.

L.R.. we have done the Seavis tour once before, and its one of the best tours I have ever gone on.. its not cheap, but well worth the price for the day... I love the Star fish sandbar... as well as the drink bar that was served while we were enjoying our day..
