  1. There is so much to see in Aruba that the buses don't go to.... we timeshare there so we always have a vehicle so haven't done any tours. Went to Curacao on a cruise a couple years ago and took a bus tour - very nice and saw lots and even had a little beach time with a good restaurant for lunch.

    My vote.... rent in Aruba!

  2. AMA told me we won't be able to add our cruise until just before departure. We will get an email from them inviting us to download the App and at that point the specifics of our cruise will be available.

I just downloaded the app and picked a cruise for 2018 that is the same for my 2019 cruise so I could see the information that is provided. I just skipped adding the booking number. Maybe you can do that to at least see the information that is provided. I am impressed with the detail on the excursions that I could not get on the website.

  3. My travel agent just advised us of a new app that AMA Waterways has for river cruising. Might make things easy to check out while travelling.

AmaWaterways recently developed an app calledAmaCruiser, which is available for free and features a live cruise-tracking mapas well as photos and information about each of the destinations and theavailable shore excursions. The app gives users the opportunity to upload theirphotos and create a personal cruise album or share images via email or onsocial media. The daily cruise newsletter is also made available during thesailing, with the daily schedule of events”

Thanks for the information! Our cruise for 2019 is not yet on there but I was able to check out the same cruise for this year. This is our first river cruise and we are very excited!

  4. We are doing the 12-Night Alaska Mountain Medley Cruisetour next month on the Millennium from Anchorage sailing south to Vancouver.

Can anyone who's done this give me information on the land portion? What tours did you do in Talketna, Denali & Aleyska? We've booked dinner reservations already at the Seven Glacier Restaurant.

Thanks in advance for any information you can share!

  5. I am so excited to see your post and read it in its entirety soon. We are going on our first Alaska cruise next August on the Millennium... I will say I am jealous that you were on Solstice - our first Celebrity ship and our favorite!! We sailed on the Infinity in April for a Panama Canal cruise and while we prefer the S class ship it was a good cruise. Hoping the Millennium is in good shape when we sail next year! Looks like your pictures are fantastic - what type of camera and lens did you use?

Thank you so much for taking the time to share with your CC friends!!

  6. Smart casual every night in Blu! My husband took a jacket on our last cruise but probably won't again....packing it to wear one night out of a cruise is not worth the effort in our opinion. On our Panama cruise on Infinity we saw a few tuxes and suits but not a lot of them. We dress pretty casual in "real life" and enjoy not having to take extra luggage to accommodate 1 or 2 nights of wearing something for a couple hours.

  7. Respectfully disagree. They are separate kitchens on S class, but not on M class.

Good to know. We've only sailed on S class. Will be on the Infinity next week and liking forward to comparing M class to S class.

  8. We were on the Reflection in June 2014 and did the excursion to Oia. We enjoyed it very much. Would do it again! We tendered to busses which took us to Oia then back to Fira with a stop at a winery. The walking is through narrow streets, some uneven pavement and for us very crowded. Such a beautiful place to be! Have fun!!!

  9. I was in Blu on Summit in May and couldn't order turkey from the MDR. They told me it was 2 different kitchens.( I don't think that is true). Will try again this May.

They were correct in stating they are separate kitchens. Blu is totally separate from the MDR. We've always been able to order from the MDR if we wanted but love Blu and never wanted to.

  10. We board the Infinity on April 11 for the San Diego-Miami Panama Canal cruise. First time on an M-class ship - have sailed on the Solstice and Reflection and loved them both. Curious to see how the Infinity Aqua Class cabins/amenities compare between M-class and S-class. We love Blu and hope we are just as pleased on this cruise.

  11. Bistro on 5 was good, but on the two X cruises I've been on, it always seemed to be mostly empty. I imagine X wants to try something different to utilize the space better.

We ate at Bistro on 5 during our last cruise...once was enough for me. I also noticed it was empty most of the time. We would definitely eat at a good sushi place.

  12. Hey there stranger.....

How was your overall experience with Celebrity Infinity, and the trip to Antigua via Puerto Quetzal. We are booked for next spring, and are trying to gather any and all information ahead of time.

BTW - we had to cancel our cruise in Paris due to some health issues and uncertainty of being ready to go.

Hope to hear from you - either here or via e-mail when you get a few minutes. Would be interested in your recent Canadian trip also.

    Take care...

Which Panama cruise are you doing next year? We are on the April 11-26 cruise. I would love to do a coffee plantation tour - have you researched any for this stop? I'm leery of going outside the Celebrity tours here. We had great experiences in Greece and Italy last year but I'm a bit more unsure of this part of the world.....

  13. We were on one of the deck 11 Aqua cabins on the Infinity (1105) which is right by the stair well. We were on a Panama Canal cruise and the lack of overhang made it very hot in the afternoon but nice at night since you can see the stars. Being farther forward we had no smoke from the Sunset Bar although we did get some ash from the stacks. (no big deal just made sure to dust off the chairs before we sat down.) It was lovely to be able to dash down to the Oceanview Cafe and easily bring up lunch to the room and an unexpected perk was that is was always easy to snag an elevator because everybody was taking it to the buffet on deck 10. Having a brand new room was also very nice.

We are booked in 1105 for the April 2016 Panama cruise. Nice to see info from someone who has stayed in that cabin. We've sailed on the Solstice & Reflection and love them. This will be our first M class ship.

  14. We have sailed on the Solstice twice and booked Aqua class both times. The extra amenities were nice but Blu...ahh we do love Blu! That said, we are sailing on the Reflection next June for a 10 day Med cruise and also booked Aqua. Hope our experience is just as wonderful.

  15. I have been getting the gel polish since last summer and love it. I like getting the french manicure and have polished with another color and then removed to go back to french.

I had a manicure and pedicure last year on the Solstice - LOVED them both. The girl who did my mani was so good I had her do a pedi even though I had one before I left - it was the BEST pedi that I have ever gotten. I hope to get one next week when we sail on her again. They do offer specials on port days and hopefully I can take advantage of that!
