So we pre booked a bunch of dinners already. This is our first sailing as D+ so I completely forgot about the coupons. So if we go to the venues we booked and eat there they will just credit us back Obc for the second person on 2 nights? Some say any nights some say must be the first 2?

We always stay at the Ritz Carlton. It's very close to the airport and not far from the port.

In the email promo about harmony is said abyss is a water slide. Not a dry slide.

Looks like a bunch of my fellow cruisers are here. Lol. So maybe I'll arrive a little earlier. 10:15 to 10:30. I'm staying only a few mins from the pier. I do have to return the car to the pier also so i'll be arriving early anyways for that.

Maybe those countries have a higher minimum wage than we do here.

As mentioned the tips your paying are already broken down. They are not going to the people you don't have contact with. Those people get tips from their various sections that do get tips. Rear of bar gets tips from bar tip pool which comes from every drink purchased etc. I'm not advocating not tips. I always prepay and tip extra where I feel it's warranted.

You can chose not to tip? I thought you HAD to pay the $12.95 per person per day.

 

If you can, why would you chose not to tip BEFORE your cruise? I could see having them removed if you got really bad service, but...

You can't opt out in advance. Can only have them removed onboard.

A few years ago there was a family on my oasis cruise who had inline skates. I noticed the whole family had them. Later into the cruise I was able to speak with one of the sons. He said that his parents had to contact rccl in advance. Upon arrival they had to surrender the skates. The key was they were using them on an inline skating tour. The family didn't want to rent skates and felt safer using their own personal pairs. Long story short rccl allowed them to bring them. They had a rep waiting for them when they arrived who took the skates on board. The day of the tour the family picked them up before departure on the lower decks. When they came back from the tour they had to surrender them again. They picked them up again during departure. Obviously this isn't the norm but it would seem there are ways banned items can beep brought. Just wanting to bring a skate board though wouldn't be a reason unfortunately.

I'm planning to arrive between 10:45 and 11 in hopes to getting on board before the crowds arrive. If they aren't boarding I'll wait a few. I'd rather have to wait because they haven't started boarding yet then waiting in lines because crowds have arrived and everything gets slowed down.

Vancouver embarkation is the worst we have ever encountered - long lines, too few personnel, grumpy passengers. :o We hope never to embark in Vancouver again but it's close if we go to Alaska again. *shrug*

Fortunately I get to end in Hawaii but I must start in Vancouver

I asked if Absinthe is served onboard, yes. This is a cruise forum. I would not have gone to a Disneyworld forum and asked if Royal Caribbean International ships serve a certain product, would I?

 

Many people come on here asking if a certain product, item or service is available before their cruise.
