Yes, we will be coming from the US. Since we are just beginning our research and trying to narrow down options, I would love to here more about the Princess round Australia 28 day cruise.

This is great - so much information. I like the idea of the Ghan or Indian Pacific as well. So much to see in that region and since it will be a one and done, I’m probably going to carve out quite a bit of time.

Which cruise line is best for this area?

We would fly to Australia (Sydney?) from Pittsburgh and cruise from there. 
 

Hello. My husband, daughter and I are interested in a cruise to Australia in 2025. The three of us would be in the same cabin (balcony- usually) and are all platinum with NCL. Are there preferred cruise lines/ships that you might recommend or ones that we would just eliminate?  Any itineraries that really stand out?

We have always used Cosol Tours when visiting St Lucia. Fantastic tours and personnel. Unfortunately, their owner, Nereus Francis (Yellowbird’s brother) was recently murdered. He It might take them a while to reorganize.

Someone had posted the article on cruise critic not long ago.

There are usually disposal containers in your cabin. If not, just ask your cabin steward and he will be happy to provide one and replace it when full. He can also remove any items from the small fridge in the room if your insulin requires refrigeration.

Does anyone have pictures of the large balcony on the Bliss? Cabin #8710 or 8712. They claim the balcony is 155 sq ft.

After a last minute cancellation of our scheduled cruise aboard the NCL Gem last November, we were looking to use our credits before they expire.

 

We ended up picking a 10-day cruise out of San Juan on the NCL Dawn in December.

We ended up picking the Shore Excursion credit for our "Free at Sea" choice (since there are 9 islands on this cruise).

 

But - I've noticed that these islands aren't ones NCL typically sails to - some of them don't even show up as options when you browse all shore excursions (not just ones for my cruise).

 

So - people who have sailed with NCL to the following islands - do you feel there were at least a decent number of Shore Excursions available to choose from? Or would I be better off picking a different "Free at Sea" choice? (We already get $50/port for the Distinctive Voyages perk, so we'll end up with $100/stateroom/port).

If you decide to do shore excursions on your own consider the ones I mention below. I’ve taken them all and highly recommend each and every one!

Looks like public transportation is the way to go here. We finally heard back from relatives who know exactly where the grave is and will be sending me a map.

This whole trip is coming together nicely. Thanks for all of the good advice.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. Here's what we decided on. We are staying at the Park Plaza County Hall! Getting there from LHR by Smiths for Airports. We plan to take the Thames Express one way to Greenwich the next day and the tube back in the evening. Depending on timing we may stop at St Paul's Cathedral for evening Eucharist mass.

I can't wait.

Thanks for all of the help with Greenwich. I'm almost finished that planning. Here's another one for the forum. My daughter wants to visit the City of London Cemetary and Crematorium to pay respects to my grandmother. Will it be easy to find public transportation or will I need to pre-hire a car (taxi or UBER)? Not sure if I can include that into the day at Greenwich. (I'm afraid my original trip to Bath may not be feasible on this trip to UK).
