I do remember when we docked at Miami they had numerous shuttles and taxis. I am surprised that there is no transportation available from the Port Everglades Cruise Terminal.

As we are staying in Fort Lauderdale after our cruise, will there be shuttle buses to take us to our hotel when we dock. Do we have to make arrangements before our cruise? There will be 4 adults and two children with probably 5 or 6 pieces of luggage.

Just one question for now. I understand that there is one formal night on the 5 day Independence cruise. We enjoy casual, so I would appreciate knowing what attire we can get away with on this cruise. Would a shirt and tie be acceptable for the gentlemen? Thanks so much

Will there be taxis at the Port of Miami after our cruise? We are sailing on the Disney Wonder and will be returning to port on a Friday. We have not arranged for a shuttle to pick us up as yet. There are 4 adults and 2 children. I understand if taxis are available, we would need two at $24 each.

Can anyone tell me the terminal number at the Port of Miami where the Wonder docks? Thanks

Thank you all so much. I am sure the kids would love to dress as pirates. Just one more adventure to get them even more excited about our cruise.

We are on the Wonder in March (5 days) and I was wondering if there is always a pirates' dress-up event. Just wondering if we should bring costumes along with us.

Thanks again. My one concern about taxis would be the availability at the cruise port. Does anyone have experience taking a taxi from the port without reserving or do we have to make a reservation in advance? If so, is there a company you would recommend?

We are taking our family on the Wonder in March 2015. The kids will be 6 and 4 years of age. When is the best time for dinner? I was told that if it is the early seating, the kids might fall asleep during the show which is after dinner. They mentioned having the late seating, feeding the kids snacks before the show and then having dinner at 8:00. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you for your replies. I should have mentioned that my daughter would like a porthole. As it will be March break (daughter is a teacher) decks 1 and 2are sold out. I would like them to be on an upper deck (possibly 7) which means the bow of the ship. If you feel the balconies are quite safe, I will suggest that to her. Thanks again

There will be 4 adults and two children 6 and 4 years of age on the Disney Wonder next March. My daughter prefers a cabin without a balcony because of our two grandchildren. I noticed that all cabins without balconies are at the front of the ship. I need your help to determine if these cabins are too close to the bow and they would feel more motion. Thanks
