I'm surprised that the maps on the Cunard website still seem to show it going to Dubai, etc.

I also tried a dummy booking & the UK site doesn't seem to work for me & the US website seems to show no inside cabins (for example).  Maybe its because I am looking from Australia.

I guess they are probably concentrating on sorting out existing bookings to see what they have available & update their website accordingly.

I think they have a lot to do, so maps not at the top of the list. If you look at the Port Louis excursions I want to ride the ATV's upside down. LOL

  2. I embark in Sydney and then on till Dubai. I just want to know which changes there will be if any. So that I can make arrangements. If there is a disembark port change would like to know where and when. In-between changes don't make as much difference unless I would need a visa.

    Just waiting to see.

  3. I have done a 18, 28 and 30 day voyages on Cunard as a solo. Have had a wonderful time. I do a large table, you get to know the other people and almost everyone does different things so there is always things to talk about. Have met a reporter who retired from the BBC, a actress who did tv and films and her stage actor husband. Great stories all.

Dont worry about the tours unless they are for couples you will have fun. And knowing your table mates can have its advantages, In Lisbon I did a tour, then was walking around the town looking to get on the cable car, seen a couple of my table mates who had all day tickets for it, and they got them from another couple who used it earlier. And they gave me them as they were done.

    Have had lots of fun.

And the not talked about thing is you can do what ever you want when you want. But it is always what you do and feel.

  4. I did a private car for the day. I got one of the first tender tickets went right to the cable car. the ship tours go to a different pier and then the ship moved and the tenders for the cable car, donkeys walk pier were next. But then we were the only ship. But we did see Oia before the tour buses arrived. Just do not do the donkeys

  5. The Queen Victoria is doing a South America Grand Voyage which goes all the way around South America. You can do it from Southampton which is a 78 day cruise, Jan 9 2025 to Mar. 28 2025. There are other ports that you can start or stop some in the USA and some in South America with shorter durations

  6. I did a WC segment and a table mate was doing the full WC with just one suitcase. I asked how he did the formal nights, he replied lots of ties. On my last 30 day cruise I did it with one tux, a couple of dress pants, a selection of shirts and ties and a couple of vest, cummerbund sets. I do it with one suitcase and one garment suitcase.

  7. There will be an announcement in the daily program for time changes. As to the day change you will have the same day 2 times. As you are traveling from west to east you will loose an hour for every timezone. And if you ever want to see the ship time there are clocks in all the stairwell landings. Hope they still give out the certificates for crossing the dateline.

  8. Interesting deck plan. The deck 4 balcony's with the lifeboats has a note that during Panama Canal transit they move the lifeboats in. And some balcony's are visible from above.
