13 hours before I leave for the port.

I ordered the room decorations and cake for my son's 18th birthday for a trip on the Monarch about 5 years ago.
While a bit pricey I found having the room decorated when we arrived on board was a nice thing and made everyone smile.
As for the cake... make sure to remind your server the night before.
We were a day late in the cake because they failed to bring it out on the proper night and I had to ask after it, which was after desserts were done.
I sail on Sunday for a 7 night Freedom cruise and this time, its my SO's birthday. So I have ordered the room decorations and cake again. :)
(and I will be reminding the server the night before about the cake.)

I am going to be at St Maarten next week with RCCL on the Freedom.
Is there any place to get Kinder Eggs on the island? I love the silly things and try to get at least one or two whenever I travel outside the US.
Thanks!! :D

On the Freedom of the Seas, the internet package is for One or Two devices.
Is it one device at a time? or does it know which device you used first and you
can then only use that one for the cruise?
I am bringing my cellphone and my netbook. If its one at a time, I can easily just swap on and off.
Thanks!

I'm curious. Will they have to go thru customs? They didn't stop anywhere. No customs would speed up disembarkation.

Karina posted this on the main Anthem thread.:
I think that is the Northstar there in the middle. They lost a radar ball cover and some glass safety panels, which is the glass mess that is being cleaned up in this photo.

Having a dock doesn't always help.
I was on a Disney cruise in April 2014 where we couldn't dock at Castaway Cay because of a strong wind storm that popped up.
They tried twice to get into the dock, and both times the winds were just blowing in the right direction and too strong to allow the Disney Dream to pull up to the dock safely.

My mom uses a scooter on the ship to get around. We try to get to our muster station before they start so there aren't any problems with getting elevators.
If you don't go early, I think the staff will let you on the elevator. They need you at the drill.
After muster, the crew usually will let us and any other mobilly challenged passengers go first and get the elevator for us.

Can anyone tell me where Serefinas is in relation to where Bernard drops you, or the open market? Will it be obvious?
When I did the tour about 4 years ago, he parked right along the shore, it was near the open market and Serefinas was across the street.
I ate a small lunch/snack there. :) It was yum!
I just booked with Bernard's again for when I go back in 3 weeks.

I'm glad to see there is still sand. I am going in a few weeks and was afraid it was going to be just a bar on some rocks.
Its been a few years since I visited and I remember reading that at some point there was almost no sand left on the beach after a few hurricanes had sucked it all away.
:D Can't wait to go! :D
Thanks for linking that great picture.

Honestly, my stomach appreciates when I eat some more 'mudane' foods for lunch.
The breakfasts and dinners I eat on a cruise are richer/heavier/bigger than what I normally eat at home. (I'm on vacation! Load it up!)
So a nice normal size lunch with normal foods is actually a good thing. :p

:D Thank you for the excellent trip report! Its awesome to see that you had a good time.
I go in 4 more weeks. I'm hoping the weather is a little better. :p

I bring my own travel coffee mug that has a handle.
Its bigger than the cups they have at the coffee station and has a handle which means I can carry more than one.
You aren't allowed to put your mug under the coffee urn spout, to prevent cross contamination. I just use the provided cups and pour the coffee into my mug.
Have a fun cruise!

Obviously its early in the investigation. But if the person is an active military person, then he would be allowed to check guns into his luggage.
(News coverage I am listening too, just called it a 'Legally Checked' gun)
Bad Person is Bad. TSA may not be at fault here.
