  1. My family and I —me, husband, son (17) and daughter (13) — will be on the Brillance of the Seas sailing from Amsterdam on Jun 24, 2019. This is my son’s senior trip and he got to choose the itinerary. Both my kids are history and culture fans, so they are excited for the ports.

  2. I am looking and having a hard time with what is on boad and what is shown for anthem

i cannot find any photos of a casino... is there one?

i see mini golf is listed but have heard otherwise... what is true??

Yes there is. Not many, if any, cruise ships don't have casinos. All RCCL ships have them.

  3. I've heard of "fantastic prices on jewelry" in the Caribbean...Looking for suggestions on the best place in St Thomas to find the best deal on diamond rings or even just to buy a diamond.

    THANKS!

  4. True, Celebrity changed their whole point system when they added all those tiers to the stateroom point levels..

They did change. The points credited through the new system were, for the most part were done correctly. I had a small issue but Celebrity resolved it. Now Elite + and even though Pinnicle on RCCL I'll not have the time or the $$$$ to reach Zenith. Although we love their royal suite perks so I'm always looking to find a cheap upgrade. They do come available [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]

  5. It's hard to fuss over C&A points. With access to the diamond & concierge lounges, the happy hours in them, and the DIY coffee machines, no other cruise line in this price bracket comes even close in perks for D, D+ & P. We sail other lines but miss these perks and are always happy to return to RCI.

  6. Do take care when booking Cabins in regular and js class and say you have more C&A points than spouse but your name is on cabin in Reg. So you get 1 point and spouse gets 2 per night. You would not get double points since spouse has fewer points and therefore would not add additional points to your total. Learned the hard way but did enjoy the cruise.

  7. Thank you for posting that! I will definitely check them for our next cruise.

Have used RCCLs insurance and the part we used was for medical reasons and cancelled the trip after final payment but before we sailed. We always received everything that was in penalty, cruise fare, flight, . Only insurance cost was not refunded and tax and port changes refunded immediately via RCCL.

  8. How far out from a cruise can you book arrival in the port city? For example, can I use A2S and arrive two weeks before a cruise (or depart two weeks after)?

A2S desk can answer that but my experience is that they are flexible with the times

  9. Generally yes, but as stated above- check the fine print, particularly regarding what constitutes a delay. Also keep in mind that travel insurance generally means you pay any necessary costs up front, and then file a claim to get reimbursed later.

Last year we had friends who missed a connection on a TA Ft Myers to Barcelona. A2S put them up in a hotel gave food. Vouchers and flew them to the next port to start their journey albeit a day later. No extra charge.
