I think we're on the same Baltic cruise. We ARE over 60 (just) , I'm a little bit on the cuddly side and OH likes a beer or two. We don't smoke and I don't consider us to be uncouth!!!! We've done a number of cruises and this is the first on Arcadia. I'm looking forward to it and I'm sure we'll all have a lovely time (as always):)

No matter how young your child is they will be taking up a space that could be sold to a family with an older child so what's the problem? That's the thing with having kids we have to pay for them.

Our son was 8 when we cruised on Ventura for the first time so was one of the dear in his kids club group. It really wasn't an issue, there were several other kids the same age and they had a great time. The following year he was the youngest in the next age group up which was of more concern to us beforehand. We worried needlessly, again he had a great time. The only problem we had with the kids club is that we hardly saw him!

Bottom line? They save people money and P and O can fill some of the less popular cabins. Everyone is a winner. I love how those trashing the cheaper deals are claiming P and O are losing out because of them. Wishful thinking I am afraid.

We paid full whack for next years cruise because we wanted a particular cabin. I am utter riff raff though. Hopefully I will be sharing a dinner table with simonpjd at some point. :D
