  1. Wow your review is awesome! Thanks so much for all the details, pictures, and video. This has been really helpful. I'm doing a cruise wedding next August on the Vista. I'm kind of nervous because it's a new ship and I won't get to see it beforehand, but I've decided to just go with the flow and enjoy my wedding no matter what happens or doesn't (tendering in Grand Cayman, eek) since a lot of it is out of my control with a destination wedding. Would you be able to send me your docs if you still have them? Also I'm loving the map!!! So cute.

Thank you for reading! That's the best thing you can do - just go with the flow - no point in stressing out! I promise you, it will be wonderful. The map came from LittleHouseShop on Etsy. Emailing you now!

  2. Ok I know that we can't give out specifics about travel. Agents... I'm just wondering if it easier to book through a travel agent or not for a wedding...

Yes! Agents save YOU from having to field questions from guests. They set up reservations, link you all together, remind everyone of important dates/deadlines, etc. Agents also have access to all deals and promotions cruise lines/resorts are offering PLUS most give you an extra incentive for booking with them.

  3. Me and my fiance are starting to plan our wedding... He wants a cruise wedding.. And I wanted a resort wedding... Being that it's my second wedding I gave in... We have picked may of 2017...is it to late to book? I am getting nervous... We looked at two cruises.. Carnival vista and carnival splendor.... How soon in advanced should I have booked?

Not too late at all! I planned mine in 10 months or so and have planned several others for clients/friends in way less time than that! Shoot me an email at cruisewithcallan@gmail.com and I have several things I can send you!

  4. Your review has been so insightful! The wedding looks absolutely amazing. Mine is scheduled for October 17th on the Valor. I was wondering if you could email me your documents you used, I'm not so organized. My email is ktretter@gmail.com. Thank you so much!!

Thank you, it was an amazing day! Our 1 year anniversary is Saturday, I cannot believe the year has flown by like it has. I just emailed you!

  5. Thank you so much for your fabulous review!! :) I'm considering the time to celebrate big package on embarkation day for my wedding on the carnival conquest out of fort lauderdale but was worried about the time constraints, your review really made me feel a lot more comfortable about the whole situation, looks like you and your wedding party had a blast! If it's not too much trouble could you also send me the documents you used for your carnival wedding? My email is ljwittmann@gmail.com, thanks so much in advance!

Sorry it's taken me this long to respond - just got back from a cruise! I'd be happy to email you! I'm so glad my review helped.

  6. Once the reception is over the non-sailing guests are escorted off the ship. Muster drill is right after. You'll then meet your photographer to finish taking pictures around the ship! We kept all of our tuxes for the entire cruise - I simply asked the store where they were rented from if there was any way I could keep them longer and explained the situation. They were so nice and let us keep them for an entire week for the same price as one night!

  7. Did you have to make a special request for 4 different tiers? For under 50 people, we get 2 tiers and it only allows us to select one option for cake flavor and filling.

I had 100 guests so I got the 4 tier automatically but they always told me each tier could be different! I put it on my form and it's exactly what I got!

  8. Can anyone who has done this help me out? Does the excursion leave from and return to the "dock" area? A picture shows the catamaran at the dock so I assume you leave directly from the dock area.

    Was it good for snorkeling?

Lastly, the itinerary shows us arriving in AC at 9:00 yet the excursion shows a 7:30 start time?

I booked this trip the other day for our group of 20 - I spoke directly with Nathalie (at Tip Top Catamaran who runs this trip). Bathroom facilities are available on the Cat, lunch, open bar on the way back after snorkeling. I'm very excited!

  9. Hi! Our wedding is fast approaching in 47 days  We are getting married on the NCL Spirit out of Port Canaveral.

So, for any recent Port Canaveral brides, what was the process for non-sailing guests when it comes to parking? We are going to have several people parking at the port just for the day.

    Thanks,

    Lori

For my wedding that was in June 2015 non-sailing guests did NOT have to pay to park - they need to pull in and tell the parking attendant they are a wedding guest!

  10. With our ceremony 18 days away, we are going to check out the ship this morning. I am going with my mom and Aunt. I was hoping to have had our final call by now so I would know our venue but that is not the kind of luck that I have. Any questions about the Victory or the tour process I can answer? My main question is that we just had someone book - last night. She is joining in a room of someone who made it to the guest list on time. Not sure how this will work. Obviously they will let her (them) on but - I am not interested in sorting out details or being delayed for any reason on the big day. I am sure this has happened before so I am hoping Carnval will just handle everything on their part and I won't need to think about it again.

I had friends of our wedding guests that had booked the cruise and weren't supposed to come to the wedding - well they ALL came! Carnival won't know the difference once they are on the ship! Maybe if your guest list had 20 and like 60 were there it might look funny! We had 100 so nobody even noticed 10 more or so!

  11. slord12, thank you for sharing your video! It was nice to see one that was different for a change. Did they just use the CD's you provided for your ceremony, or did you have to pick songs in their music library?

We made CDs for our ceremony music! Our photographer never asked for the CDs though he must've just downloaded the songs. I don't think our song choices were in Carnivals music library.

  12. Thank you so much for the time that it took to do your review and post the pictures. I hope my day turns out as fabulous as yours did. Can you tell me where you got your cake topper from? Also, I seen the flowers came from Blue Lily Bridal, did the flowers on your cake come from there as well?

Thank you again, You looked beautiful!

Thank you! My cake topper also came from Etsy - ThePinkOwlDesigns. I found my cake flowers on Etsy too but I wound up ordering them from somewhere else other than BlueLilyBridal - they came from flowersbythevase! I do think BlueLilyBridal is doing cake flowers now though, they just didn't have the ones I wanted at that time.

  13. Does anyone know if you have to buy an entire package of photos of the wedding or can you just buy certain ones? We are considering doing our wedding on the Vista next January.

    Thank you,

    Joanna

It's totally up to you - they sell packages or individual images! I received a price list when I booked but what I wound up getting and paying was TOTALLY different for the better. Our photographer sat us down and showed us everything then said I'll give you all of this for $2600 - we got EVERY image he took on a CD, like 80 already printed 5x7s and 8x10s, 2 16x30 canvases (we got to choose the images for this), the photo book, thank you cards, and the video of our wedding. Be nice to your photographer and they will be nice to you when it's time to pay!

  14. I have not taken a 3 day cruise since my very first one, that was about 13 years ago. This is a quick getaway with some friends. I am not sure what to expect...all of my other cruises in last few years have been 5 and 7 days. I am flexible and can roll with whatever...but was curious.

FUN!! Seriously, I LOVE the Sensation. I have cruised on her during the summer for the last 3 years on that 3 night cruise and have had a blast each time. Sure, there are people partying, in fact, I may be one of them. I've never seen anyone get nasty or rowdy - except for the bride that was heckling the comedian during a comedy show and got thrown out LOL.

The ship is clean, the service is great, food is good, and the drinks flow freely! When you get to Nassau walk on down to the Tiki Bikini Hut and tell Byron hello - all you can drink all day for $35.

  15. Girl, do you have any idea how amazing you are? You are helping all of us future brides in tremendous ways! I am getting married on the Carnival Ecstacy in April and have learned so much from your posts. I really apprecite the time and effort you put into the posts. can you please send me a copy of your files at OceansOfLove2016@gmail.com

Thank you!! I'm so glad it's helpful - I will be happy to email you what I have!
