For cabin use, yes.  We always take some water and soft drinks onto the ship at embarkation and then often top the supply up as we go along, bit by bit.  They will not let you take alcoholic drinks on board though.  Drink prices are not bad on Fred though.

If we are not on the drinks pack, we usually buy a litre bottle of spirits for cabin use, to drink with the soft drinks.  No more than about £25 generally, DH thinks it was less than that for vodka (about £22).  All drink prices seem to be going up a bit on all cruise lines, so not sure exactly.

Thanks for that. Is there a container requirement ie Can, bottle, plastic only?

  2. We are going on our second Fred Olsen cruise this summer. Our first was 2 years ago and included free drinks package and gratuities which I assume was to attract back customers after covid. However as we dont drink much alcohol we dont want to spend £50 a day on the drinks package. My question is, are guests allowed to bring on board their own non-alcoholic drinks and water? It seems some other cruise lines allow it but cant find anything for Olsen.
