  1. We live by the cruise port. There are numerous hotels and restaurants downtown within walking distance. Hyde Park and Ybor City are both a short Uber or trolley ride away. We also have the Downtowner (free app} now that offers free rides in the downtown area. The Riverwalk downtown is nice also. There are a variety of kayaks, etc that can be rented. There is also a water taxi to take you aound town and a "shuttle" boat that goes to St. Pete. Times are very limited though. Busch Gardens is 15 minutes away. If you aren't wanting to go to the beach the downtown area is very doable without renting a car.

  2. Oh' date=' I would be so grateful if you can make your way to the Starboard side and get a shot of E 505. We're not going till December of 2015. BTW, I was following you last year and loved the Royal as much as you did. It's the reason we booked the Regal, for the ship more than the itinerary in this case.

Have any suggestions for what to do in the ports? We've never been there and are not beach goers, but would enjoy seeing some sights.[/quote']

Will be going 1/28/15. We don't have to be off the ship early so will try to get a shot for you

  3. We just got back from an Allure 2/9 sailing. We had 3 tables of 10 in the dining room. Everyone wore smart casual, docker type pants ans golf shirts, slacks and shirts, casual dresses, etc the whole trip... except one. He wore dress shorts every night except formal night. No one even seemed to care or notice. Many men wore jeans and nice shirts.

  4. We were on the 2nd floor in September. Room 2552. It was the most quiet room we have ever had. Loved hearing the ocean splash against the window too. Easy stair access to the exit at port, dining rooms and promenade. Would take the elevator to the pool decks but never had to wait long for one. The only thing is the hall does not go the length of the ship. We had to go up a deck and across then back down to get to the skating rink. Loved staying on that deck and will again.

  5. I put off starting this thread thinking there would be lots of negative comments i.e. "I hate to dress up", BUT the posts have been by all of you who enjoy clothes and the whole process of putting outfits together:)!

iheartbda: Brody's was one of my favorite stores, too. Indiana PA is a very small town and buying clothes is challenging. I wear petite sizes and 5.5 shoe. Not much to choose from here...My wardrobe runs the gamut price-wise. Everything from Nordstrom (in Mall of America when visiting DS & his family) to the local consignment shop to Macy's in Pittsburgh.

I haven't read through the whole post yet but love it! Just noticed you were from Indiana PA. My father in law grew up there and still has a brother who lives there. Small world!
