I've been on four cruises as a Weight Watchers member and find it reasonably easy to stick with. I'm with the person who said no croissants until the last day and always have protein at breakfast. I love the omelet station and find that a treat in the morning. Lunch at the buffet with lots of salad and protein and skip the bread and pasta. I do have ice cream at lunch, usually sugar free. Dinner is pretty much what I want. I get dessert, but just one, have bread if I want and usually fish (because I like it). I try not to eat between meals, but if dinner is late do eat a snack. I enjoy the meals and find my average gain is three pounds, which is pretty easy to take off. I don't feel deprived and really enjoy eating on the ship.

I really enjoy Celebrity, but it wouldn't take the place of being at a spa.

Yes. Their flight is scheduled to arrive at 1:30. Even with just carryon luggage, this is a too tight time frame. If the plane is a second late, if the luggage isn't the first off, if they get a cab immediately and there's no traffic in Boston -- which doesn't happen -- they won't have a second to spare.

That was me -- once -- on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. I'd gone off with a friend and didn't realize there were two docks for ships in Langkawi. Our taxi arrived at the "other" one. We realized our mistake and the driver set out for the one we needed. We were the last ones running up to the ship. Luckily it was twenty years ago and we could still run. That was the last time I cut it so close and the last time I was so cavalier about where I was going.

I have a friend that was on the Grand Princess and I read his emails as they floated off the coast of California. I was especially sobered when one of the last emails discussed running out of food before the ship docked in Oakland.
I turn 70 in July, and yes, I had a cruise scheduled for mid-July. It's with Fred Olsen and they aren't especially customer friendly. I have until June 1 to choose an alternate cruise to apply my deposit or I lose the deposit. I've lost more money in the last few weeks than the deposit, so the deposit may be lost. I doubt if it will be clear what the state of the world will be in June.
I live in New York City and we are watching the tragedies of 2020 unfold a few miles from home. I hope to be able to ride the subway again for my birthday and my travel goal for 2020 is to leave New York State.
As I remember 1987, I think it's way too early to buy any stock to hold.

It sounds initially onerous, but whether we like it or not we've adjusted to the additional difficulties of air travel. I am sure most of us remember the pre-September 11 travel years when you could almost stroll up to the gate. Many changes will be coming and no cruise line will want to risk the scenarios we've seen in the last month again.

To each their own. I rarely listen to people who are cruise bashers. I took my first cruise in 1983 and I got to see 8 islands in the Caribbean in January. That sold me. I've been from Singapore to Phuket, all through the Baltic, to Antarctica and the Falklands and through the islands of Scotland last summer. I've done land trips, too, but some trips work much better by sea. Just canceled the Infinity, Transatlantic on April 25 and stops in the Azores and Morocco and a Fred Olsen cruise to English ports in July. I hope to be able to cruise again. Still want to do New Zealand by cruise.

It is time for Celebrity to cancel especially the Transatlantic ones. They probably waiting for Trump to say people can go back to work. He is unbelievable. I won't say anymore

You don't have to. There's no more to say.

I will be looking at YouTube videos to learn to make towel animals.

I was thinking about New Zealand for next winter and loved the idea of Singapore to Dubai, with the stops in India. They would be mostly new countries for me. I really liked the transatlantic cruise I was signed up for, with a stop in Agadir and the Azores. One day!

No rush to get ships to Europe. Not a lot of ports open for the scheduled season.

Best laugh in days. Thanks!

We're on one of the Apex cruises in northern Europe which for some reason have still not been cancelled. However, they've said we can't go because hubby has a chronic illness (MS). All they are offering us is 100% FCC. We are holding out for the cruise to be canceled, and if it is not and they still won't let us go, we will insist on a cash refund instead. That's the least they should do when they are denying us the chance to cruise.
So, I am not yet calm about the trip. But, we are also in Atlanta. Our community is all shut down, and we are in our home for the duration. We have adequate food for the humans and dogs, supplies, and medicine, so we are relaxed about that. Plus I just found a small bottle of hand sanitizer squirreled away in a purse, and I felt like I won the lottery 😀
I found two small bottles of hand sanitizer and my thought was I struck gold.

Not yet. Way too much uncertainty.

If you're denied boarding it's most likely you will be quarantined for 14 days. Not a fun holiday.

My concern -- April cruise booked -- is getting "stuck" somewhere on a ship or a port. I have a friend on the Grand Princess right now and it's not something I would choose.

About to turn 70 and in good health. My concern is being kept at sea or unable to come back to the US after my cruise scheduled for late April. I have a friend presently on the Grand Princess afloat off California, so I know being at sea in my stateroom for over a week or two is a real and not attractive prospect. I cancelled a cruise for July and though I lost the deposit it gave me peace of mind.
