  1. Hey All,

We've cruised on the Inspiration twice but never did receive a past guest/platinum cruise pin. Now I'm trying to put together a collection, starting with ships we've sailed on.

Does anyone have an extra Inspiration pin that they'd be willing to trade. I have extra Slendor, Spirit and Pride pins as trade goods.

    Please contact me at CnC11111@gmail.com

    Thanks, Chris

  2. Cobo . . .were were there. . .what a place

One of my cameras is the same Olympus SW1050 you took this pic with. It's very decent for an underwater P & S. Sadly, for me, it stopped working while we were in Hawaii a couple of months ago...just at the wrong time too. :) As if there is a "right" time. I did manage to get it functioning again but I missed the "pretty fishes" I was trying to shoot.

  3. Great picture where was this taken?

Thank you. On the "Road to Hana" on Maui.

If you want to, Google "Road to Hana"...driving it is an unbelievable experience. The road surface isn't bad but the outrageously sharp curves, along with the local's indifference driving around the curves in the opposite direction make it very dangerous and heart stopping.

I recommend it for those who's pacemakers aren't working correctly. :D

There are something like 60 bridges on this short road, so narrow only one vehicle at a time is possible, all looking similar to the one I photographed and posted. Very old and very beautiful, each and every one. I heartily recommend all drive it.

  4. THIS is why I go to the Caribbean!!!!

That's at Poipu Beach, on the southern coast of Kauai. We docked at Nawiliwili and rented a car. And the water here was the best...with many of the colored fish backdropped by the white sand. Sadly my underwater camera broke at that very beach.

  5. Thanks for the compliments. They mean a lot since my wonderful wife gives me the evil eye when I spend tooooo much money on my hobby. She'd prefer to spend it on stupid stuff like food and mortgage. :)

    Nice shootin'.

Where was this taken? Must know.

Lahaina. There's an old abandoned wharf just to the north of the town called Mala Wharf. I took some pics of it but I wasn't happy with them. This particular shot is from beside the entrance to the wharf looking south.

  6. Thanks Jim...excellent information and just what I wanted to know.

I did manage to buy a Tropicale pin the other day off Ebay. $30 seemed reasonable to me for one of the older ones.

I assume the Mardi Grad, if they even gave them out, are made from unobtanium. How hard is the Carnivale and Festivale to acquire?

    Thanks again, Chris

  7. Can any of you pin collectors answer this please.

Some of the pins say "Carnival (name of ship)" Others just have the name of the ship without the word Carnival. What's the difference?

And some of the cardboard in the plastic packages say "Past Guest" and some say "Valued Guest." Again, what's the difference?

    Thanks for the help. Chris
