Thanks Bea, we are having a great time, travelling with four other people and we all think the food in th3 dining room has been good, been a few very minor hiccups but all in all we have loved it. I’ll do a full review when I ge5 a chance.

I bought a pair of earrings yesterday from Swarovski as well as some little things from the onboard shop, Ijyst checked both receipts and there was no VAT mentioned on either.

We left from Barcelona. The Orchestra gave us an escort out of Genoa last night on its way to dry dock.

Hi Basketball Dad, I went and asked about the ships tours today for you. They are on the Seaday (Thursdays) and they cost 50 Euro, I’m assuming you will need to add a service charge to this. By the way five of us all travelling and we think the food in the dining room has been fine, and it’s been arriving hot.

Can you use this bus on embarkation day? Are you able to take suitcases on board?

I'm embarking on 20th October, did my online checkin last night and the email came through within seconds with the ticket, what I'd ordered on board and luggage tags etc.

It's the same on the Meraviglia, I've bought the cheaper one and taken a screen shot of the page just in case. Will be interesting to see what happens on board.

Thanks Alan, I guess they will be ok putting a pair of dress pants and a couple of shirts at the bottom of their suitcase and leave them there until we get on board. Makes it hard when you are doing a big trip. Australia is so far away from everywhere you need to make the most out of every overseas trip.

Hi Kikki, can you please do me a favour and check out what men are wearing on the elegant nights. We cruise on 20/10 and will be travelling from Australia. Only thing is we are doing UK road trip and side trips for the month before with Max 20 k luggage. The men folk would rather not pack a suit and have to lug it around if they don't need to. Cruise is last week of the holiday. Just want to know what they will fit in wearing. Thanks so much. You must be bursting with excitement now!

The bed is absolutely Fantastic, so soft yet firm and very cosy. Pillows are divine and no noise what so ever from room mates or ship goings on.

My DW finds it very hard to get up in the morning, or it maybe the Champagne Lounge the night before....I'm not too sure [emoji6]

That bed looks amazing Stealthy and as you say that is your first prioity so you are kicking goals!! And you have all of the Yaught club perks as well, lucky you!

Just wondering if the food is complementary there and what types of things they serve? Do you know if there is anywhere else onboard you are able to pick up a quick meal/snack at no xtra cost other than MDR or buffet?

Unfortunately is only appears to be for cruisers from USA. No such luck for Aussies I'm afraid, although we can always live in hope haha

Hello, I would like to know if the Sportsbar will offer meals at no extra cost similar to what I've read happens on the Divina. I would also like to know if the 12 drink vouchers offered with the Fantastica package for USA cruisers will be extended to Fantastica cruisers from other areas of the world on the new MSC cruise ships.

I would definitely check your travel insurance policy. I do not think an insurance policy will pay out if you do not actually cancel the trip due to a medical emergency. The insurance company is likely to require paperwork from MSC to advise the trip was cancelled and the amount that was lost as a result. I'd give the travel insurer a call if your friend knows for sure they can't travel and get their advice on what the requirements are to claim just to be on the safe side.

We are boarding in Barcelona on 20th October as part of a six week trip from Australia for my brothers 60th Birthday. Cruise is the last week of the holiday. We are so looking forward to it. No discounts or on board credits for us, just the five if us happy to be sailing into the sunset! We are all in balconies (me solo). So looking forward to hearing all about the experience from the early cruisers. I'm loving Cruise Critic, so much useful information and everyone so willing to share. Thanks so much.

What would the spectacle be if not the show itself?? I agree with Pete, I will be upset if it doesn't include the show. Only a few more weeks to wait until we hear first hand I suppose

We have three cabins booked on the Meraviglia sailing 20th October from Barcelona. This last week we have all booked Cirque, an excursion, laundry etc online and we all received immediate confirmation by email. They all also show on our booking page. We are using the Australian web page so maybe this has a better outcome but it was very straightforward. If you haven't received confirmation I'd certainly follow it up.
