  1. Thank you Ruth! I'm taking my sister on her first cruise this January and she is a vegetarian who who tries to follow the vegan lifestyle when she can. I knew that she would be able to find many choices but I didn't think to contact carnival ahead of time. Thank you for your insight.

  2. Yes, I thought that seemed rather strange. How 'bout this that I read on a different page. It said that you can order additional appetizers for no extra charge. I'm hoping this one is true because I'm really torn between so many great looking choices.

Not in the steakhouse but you can in the mdr however you can order more sides.

  3. 74° ha! I grew up in Florida and to save on the electric bill my mom refused to turn down the thermostat! It wasn't until I came home from college that I realized that it even worked. The reason..my mom bought a pug puppy and she looked warm. I hope you can feel the love ;). My father made the mistake of asking who my mom would save if he and the dog were hanging from a cliff, not only did she have to think about it, she said "well the puppy wouldn't have the strength to climb up on her own.

  4. I believe all cruise lines recommend that NO clothing or towels be left on a balcony, due to potential fire hazard. A cigarette tossed from a smoking deck can ignite clothing - small chance, but I'd hate for that to happen on my cruise.

As of October of this year no more smoking allowed on balconies, so the chance has gotten smaller. But if people are willing to break one rule they are willing to break another so I see where your coming from.

  5. Eat Garlic. Avoid Flowery smelling perfumes (including soaps and shampoos) Neutral scented body lotion. All of the flowery stuff will attract mosquitos.

Garlic does work but it should be done before the cruise. (go for a true Italian meal before getting to the port. or have a pizza with a lot of garlic salt.)

Garlic doesn't always work. I practically bathe in it but mosquitoes love me anyway. I think they assume I've just been marinated.

  6. I LOVE Indian food! The spicier the better. If they had it on a cruise I was on,I'd order it!

That's my BIGGEST fear! I can not stand spicy foods, in fact the only things I'm allergic to are spicy peppers(I break out in hives). So while I wouldn't mind tasting it, I would be too scared to try it! I've avoided spicy foods for so long, I only realized I am allergic two years ago!

Though if they have non-spicy dishes, that would be fine with me!

  7. I am going on my first cruise in February, and one of the reasons it has taken so long was my misconception on how much it would cost! I had always wanted to go on one, but I was so scared that it would be impossible so I never even bothered to look it up. When I saw how low the price actually was I was shocked! Maybe some people don't realize how affordable it actually is!
