It looks as though I will be eligible for the FCC
Cancel up to 30 days before you sail, and get your cancellation fees back as a Future Cruise Credit (FCC).
Cancelled February 8 for a March 25 sailing
- Applies to voyages departing through September 30, 2022.
- Applies to bookings made through March 2, 2022. booked last year

No Princess Vacation Protection so would be happy with a FCC if I receive one covering the cancellation fees. Does anyone know if these happen automatically!
-
I too had to cancel a cruise owing to medical reasons - have received the official email regarding cancellations fees - but no mention of a FCC. Is this done automatically _ I hope...
Tried to telephone Princess several times but was unable to get through ...

Many thanks for all the advice but my wife would still rather take the train than yet another flight -
Just to clarify it would be better to go for a 10.50 train allowing for a 09.50 Union Station check in time - Thanks
-
Thank you all very much for the advice - I really appreciate it - as a Plan B rather than staying overnight would taking a later train be a better idea - I think there is a 11.00 train but with a change in Bakersfield.
Also would anyone know of an alternative station to Emeryville for San Francisco woth considering where there might be a larger choice of direct trains from LA ..
Many thanks

Hello
We have a LA to LA cruise booked for March - I was thinking of taking the train to San Francisco afterwards (it actually goes to Emeryville) - the ship docks at 7am and I know you can leave the ship early and carry your own luggage. Do you think this will all work out okay for a 09.50 train.
Thanks

Thanks very much - we were planning on being out to mid afternoon so checking in then seems fine -

Hello
We are booked on a cruise out of Singapore next March. The ship spends the night in port before sailing the next afternoon.
Would anyone have a good idea of the check in time. Many thanks

I also need a HK hotel for the new year - there are lots of suggestions from the forum but is any particular hotel likely to be well away from any possible troubles - weekend or not. A friend of mine just casually suggested staying in either Aberdeen or Macau .....

Hello
Trying not to be off topic I am going to assume all will be okay for my next March cruise so if anyone has a good hotel suggestion that's now on offer at a good price - that would be really nice....I was looking at Novotel's at about
£100 per night or so ....

Hello
Many thanks for all the advice
After signing up and not getting a reply I chased them several times and they finally mentioned - discoverbelize only operates Sunday to Friday -
Thanks again

Hello
My Belize tour plans have all gone wrong as I have just found out the tour co does not operate on Saturdays - March 26 - I leave the UK in a few days so was thinking can I just find a taxi on the pier to do a mini tour to Alton Ha - otherwise it'll probably be a ship booked excursion -
Thanks

Thanks very much for the advice - pity about the Butterfly Farm -

Our cruise stops at Grand Cayman next month - will the above visits work - just taking a taxi each time or maybe I can come to an arrangement with a taxi driver to include a mini tour - and just wait at each place and then take us back to the harbour - any thoughts on my idea - thanks
-
Thank you very much for the useful information

Thank you for the advice - we are staying at the Hilton Island Resort for two nights -assume we need a taxi each time we go into town -
Also is the best plan to do a deal with a local taxi driver for our last days airport run into Houston -
Thanks

Thank you for the great suggestion -

Hello
After our cruise ship docks, would guess around 9am we have a long wait until our hotel check in although I am sure we can drop off our luggage - I was thinking of a boat trip to see the Dolphins -
does any forum member have suggestions about which company to use -
A couple of hours or so with lunch would be nice but would guess the boat trips do not work like that -
Thanks for any suggestions

Many thanks for the advice -

I have already booked a Galveston cruise for March 2016 and am now in the plotting stages - I was thinking along the lines of a couple of nights in Galveston before and a couple of nights in Houston afterwards.
Have been researching hotels in Galveston but came across Grace Manor B & B - has anyone stayed their recently - seems to be a lot to do in galveston for a few days - we will not have a car so are most places walkable in Galveston or is it a taxi everywhere -
Many thanks

Has anyone actually received a FCC covering their cancellations fees when they cancelled the cruise!
