  1. Thanks, I have done the Pearl twice in the Gem twice in the courtyard / Haven and really enjoyed the private pool area. It might be worth a few extra hour drive to New York City to hit the Gem this summer. I think that the ship makes the trip more so than the itinerary as the Bahamas and Bermuda are both beautiful this time of year

  2. I see that the dawn going out of Boston to Bermuda the summer does have pent houses and two bedroom penthouses other than the size of the room is there any sweet perks like you would have on the jewel class or higher such as a Haven area.

  3. I am debating between the Epic and get away. It seems that on the Epic the 2 bedroom penthouse is in the Haven however we may only have three coming with us it which case all we need is a regular penthouse are all the penthouse is on the getaway also in the Haven or do they just have access to it?

  4. Trying to plan a trip for my 40th birthday. I am between the NCL epic and Escape in the 2 bedroom penthouse in the Haven. I have never been on an NCL ship above the jewel class so don't know anything about the New Haven. The itineraries are identical. One leaves from Port Canaveral the other from Miami. Is there any reason to pay an extra $1,000 to go on the Escape?

  5. Was just on NCL's website and saw it now cost $177 a person to go to Atlantis through the ship shore excursion. is there a less expensive way to do it for a family of three, maybe even just booking a room for the day do they offer that

  6. For the last several years I've been of the opinion that the main dining room food is less than subpar on NCL cruise. As a result, we typically eat in specialty restaurants every night. However my mother just came back from the Dawn Boston to Bermuda and told me that the food was great in the main dining room. I am wondering if this is just an abnormality on that one ship or if their food quality is getting better

  7. Just got off the NCL gem today wanted to report that without any notice halfway through our cruise last week and NCL decided to rake away 50% off children at specialty restaurants. We did complain to the restaurant managers and they agreed to let us continue to pay the discounted rate but it took quite an argument each time

  8. With all of the new fees NCL is really turning what was once an mostly inclusive vacation into one where I have to think about what I'm spending money on at each step. I could just as easily go on carnival or Royal Caribbean and not worry about all Auto gratuities increased DSC room service charges and the like. However if I want to book a suite and not pay super high prices and ****** still my only option
