I'd like a copy of the word doc also, but I don't know the email for you. Mine is Sunshinfam (at) aol (dot) com
Thanks so much. This will be a great help for me when I am putting my scrapbook together!

Today’s thought for the day - "When you travel, remember that a country is not designed to make you comfortable. It is designed to make its own people comfortable." - Clifton Fadiman
We went to the hospital in Coquimbo. If government “is designed to make its own people comfortable” we believe the government here is failing miserably here. What we saw there is nothing short of appalling.
On the way back to the ship in the city between Islamic cultural center and sports stadium we saw a daed horse by the side of the rosd being nuzzled by another horse.
Never have I ever in all my travels (and I have been to the “third world”) seen the things I saw today in our short time off the ship. And I hope never to see them again.
I love this blog. Helps me remember my own experiences each day and lets me see what others onboard are doing.

I can't say enough good things about the Stephen Taber. If you are planning a Maine Windjammer Cruise, this is your ship!
We went the first time in 2004 after seeing a brochure about Maine Windjammers while staying at the Navy Lodge in Brunswick Maine in 2003. We ordered information, picked the Taber, and set sail in August.
Since then, we have made it our "even year" vacation sailing in 2006, 2008, 2010. We have taken adult children and friends with us. We all love the ship and the crew (not to mention the food!!!!)
Captain Noah takes us ashore someplace every day so we can "stretch our legs" and we have seen many places we would have never seen traveling any other way. Every week there is a lobster bake and Noah buys oodles because he feels that at least once in a person's life they should hear, "Would you like another lobster?"
We are already looking forward to our next trip in 2012!

I just learned about his death today after watching a documentary about life on a cruise ship. I googled to see where he might be working now and learned….. We sailed with him on the Tales of the South Pacific and he was wonderful. So wonderful, in fact, that he is the only cruise director whose name I remembered from our travels.
May his memory be eternal!
