    It happened to me.

When the guy started bothering me, I let ships security know. Security then watched the ships videos and asked me to point him out to them.

They talked to him and watched him for the rest of the cruise. They were a big help when he started bothering me again. They were a big help and comfort to me.

You are not 100% safe on cruises but yet you are much safer than you would be with most other travel.

    Great advice, thank you!

  2. I am going on my first solo cruise at the end of Oct…a 14 day’er!  I’m really looking forward to decompressing.  I do worry a bit about some creeper bothering me if they find out I’m cruising alone. Has that ever happened to anyone?

  3. It’s been about 6 years since I cruised and used this site. I’m also on my phone and couldn’t get search to work properly. Can someone please point me to the dinner menu for 14 day cruises?  Not sure if the 7 day menu just repeats, or if the menu is completely different.  Thanks!

  4. For $350 they SCAN your printed photos and load them onto the USB drive? That's insanity. They have a digital photo that they print out, then scan back in to make it digital again? By doing that they are limiting quality and options for reprinting again. For that kind of money I'd expect the photos to be the original digital file.

They scan a barcode from the physical photo...not the photo itself.

And yes, the price of the unlimited went up by $100...I was all prepared to get unlimited, but not for $450. We went for the 20 picture package. The first 2 days of the trip you can buy ANY package (10, 20 or unlimited). You can then upgrade to another package up until 1pm the last sea day. So we originally purchased the 10 picture package...on Saturday morning we looked through all of our pictures in our folder, and realized there were 20 we liked, so we upgraded to the 20 picture package. Plus we got all the extra goodies mentioned above.

  5. I can help answer some of these questions as well, got off the Pride on 8/2. We stayed at the Best Western Plus BWI (in Elkridge on Dorsey Rd, booked the park and sail package through Trinity Travel) - I think it was $129. Very nice hotel, newly renovated. We took the 9:30am shuttle over to the port on Saturday morning. I had FTTF, and a suite...the suite trumped FTTF for check in and boarding. We had to wait a bit before they started check in...about 20 minutes maybe. I have a picture of my sister taking pictures of the Atrium Lobby upon entrance, time stamp 11:57am. :-) Due to FTTF, our room was ready when we boarded, including decorations that were ordered. Suitcases showed up a bit later, maybe by 1pm.
  6. I was on this cruise too, it was wonderful! Couple things to add...we were in aft wrap cabin on 8th deck and no real vibrations...but there were vibrations in the MDR on deck 3 (YTD) and on deck 2 for the brunch on the last sea day.

Alcohol pick up...comment was made above that at 6:30am it was a zoo...I was there at that time...walked right up to table for 8th deck, was 1 person in front of me. Didn't notice a lot of people...there were some, but I wouldn't classify it as a zoo.

In Freeport we did the Sands Brewery tour (which also included an interesting perfume factory tour as well as about 45 minutes at Port Lucaya). HIGHLY recommend this excursion...our bus driver 'Tiny' - who everyone talks about - is fantastic and very entertaining. The tour concludes with a tasting of every type of brew, followed by full glasses (as part of the excursion, no extra $) of any type you want...for as long as the tour lasts. Not exactly sure how long we had but it seemed like more than 30 minutes. Really enjoyed it.

  7. I hope the slide is back up for the 7/26 cruise - I was looking forward to trying out this slide! It seems it has been out of commission for so long I'm not enthusiastic about the chances...bummer. I guess I'll be pleasantly surprised if I get to ride it!

  8. Ugh...I'm in the vista suite in July, on deck 8. We were in this suite 4 or 5 years ago, and while I remember the vibration, it wasn't an issue. I think we did need to silence a couple of things making noise from the vibrations, but it wasn't terrible. I hope being on deck 8 makes it not as noticeable, or they fix whatever issue they are having before then. I'm so sorry for the people in the lower aft cabins at this point. That is miserable.

  9. Wow, this review was fantastic Mike! We were on the Pride the week before you (New Years cruise, it was so much fun!) so it was fun to see this review after so long. We are actually 2 months away from sailing her again...this time in July, I think it will be a completely different cruise from the Dec/Jan cruise. I'm looking forward to the warmer (hot!) weather and spending more time out on the decks getting my tan on :-) Hope you and Tracy are doing well and Tracy is enjoying her new career. Best wishes...
