Just booked one for Feb 12. No problems.
-
We found out right before we boarded.

Till we are on the Magic, then 3 days to explore Houston.

I just changed my room to a Cove balcony on the Magic. Have never been on one and wondering what people think about it? Pictures make it look a little cramped with the life boats right overhead. Also, can an OBC be used for tips? Thanks a lot!

Thanks but our transportation to the port leaves the next day, so will be staying near Bush Intl. It works for us.

Thanks for the great info. Will check those out. Any nice Hilton properties in the area? Obviously not Greenspoint.

We are booked on the Magic in Feb. Flying into Bush Intl Airport the night before. We need a hotel with airport shuttle. Want something preferably 4 star or better. New would be great. Appreciate your suggestions.

So, after a lot of research, we booked our Pre and Post Cruise transfers with Carnival in Houston. Got our receipt but there is nowhere that tells us where we meet a Carnival Representative. No time, no nothing, other than the receipt for the $180. I guess I expected a question regarding our flight info, but nothing. Now what? Help.

We were seated with three couples. Though they were very nice, they were all very young, one pregnant, and the other two couples had very young children. We have grandchildren.....so we didn't exactly have a lot in common. We sat with them for dinner, but let them go off together to enjoy the evening. We either go with a group now, or ask for a table for two. Our daughter and her husband, in their mid thirties were seated with a couple in their sixties once. Just the two couples. They said it was very uncomfortable each night during dinner, so it kind of put a damper on the cruise for them. The couple argued a lot and they had absolutely nothing in common.

Maybe look at Carnival's Magic. I think it's quite similar to the Breeze, although a little older. It offers 4, 5, and 6 day cruises which may fit for your group better.

Weighing all our options. Thinking about renting a car at bush airport, driving to hotel in galveston. Return car sunday morning....assuming they have key drop off box ???? Maybe taxi to port ? Then when we go back to airport post cruise, use carnival shuttle. Does anyone know if enterprise has key drop off? Thanks everyone.

We are flying into Houston's bush intl airport for a Feb cruise on the Magic. Do you know if Carnival has shuttle service to and from the airport? Also, any idea who the CD will be on the Magic? Thanks.

When you live in MN you pay $50, or more, for a lobster tail. So having it on a "free" menu, its hard to resist.

We recently booked a cruise on the Magic, husband wanted to leave from Galveston. Having never heard about Progreso I started doing a little research. Besides ruins, which we have done many times on other cruises, it appears there isn't much else to do there. I'm thinking it may be a ship day. Can you please share your experiences there, would really appreciate it.

Thanks everyone so much. We will check all your suggestions.

We will be cruising on the Magic out of Galveston, leaving on Feb. 8, 2015. We will fly into Houston the day before. Our biggest question at this point is...how do we get from Houston to the Port of Galveston? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Homewood Suites Airport West lets you leave your car for a week, no charge. Hotel got great reviews.

Fruit Soups
GRAND MARNIER SOUFFLE
Escargot
Chocolate Melting Cake of course
Eggs Benedict (ask for the sauce on the side, otherwise it's baked into it and rather dry, love it with the hollandaise on the side)
Pizza
Lobster
Just about everything is great

If you read your thread, it sounds like you have made up your own mind. :) Why go on a ship that you already see many flaws? If the Breeze was Amazing, why not do amazing again!

Without a doubt, after 15 cruises, Karl with a K. Have cruised with him twice. He is such fun! Made our cruises very special for us.
-
Definitely Karl with a K. We have been on about 15 cruises and he has been the best. We cruised with him twice.

5 of us women bought the kyss bag for our last cruise and we all loved it. We put the chain around trees near us, or our chaise lounges, and never had to worry about anyone taking anything. Several of us used it as out airplane carry-on. Well worth the money!

Ditto on JC Penney. I just got back from my Liberty cruise this past weekend, and had purchased a suit from there. Really cute and only $59.

We'll be on the Liberty in two weeks, can't wait. Your pictures are amazing, keep 'em coming!
? about Progreso's White and Golden cities excursion, carnival
in Progreso/Merida (Mexico)

We will be on the Magic in Feb and have booked Carnival's White and Golden Cities tour in Progreso. My husband just had surgery and will need to stick to a semi-soft diet while on the ship, bummer. What do they serve for lunch on this excursion? Would be helpful to plan ahead if we need to. Thanks a lot.
