Lots of atms in san juan I would suggest to go to a local bank branch like Popular or FirstBank instead of a hotel atm cause they will charge more (like $2.75 or up to $5)

Hey all, this is my first time on a carnival cruise (can't wait!) and I saw under manage my cruise they offer 4pack of beer for $22 how does that work, do I just go to a bar and present something or are they delivered to my room or does the bartender check my card to see how many I have left?

It all depends on traffic, but I think it might be doable it's like 1.5 hours each way so keep that in mind. You would need to do it early

You could try El Yunque rainforest if you are into hiking, it's all highway from the airport and very easy to find.

Last time I was on the freedom I got a whole set. Placed them inside shoes, shirts and pants. Not one leaked and they made it all the way from my house in PR to the ship in FL. Good money saver!

If you want something local you could try "el hamberguito" in old san juan

At&T (Celebrity Ship used for example):

So rccl might be similar or close to that, you might want to turn the data roaming option to off in the settings but leave the phone out of airplane mode that way you can only call and send texts only

We are also disembarking at the Pan American Pier that morning. Our flight is not till around 4pm and were hoping to explore OSJ before our flight (either with a tour or independently).

 

Due to the festival, would we be better advised to avoid OSJ altogether that day? Not sure what plan B will be then :)

I can tell you that because of the festival traffic will be very bad, but it's a nice thing to see, lots of artworks, shows and drinks! Traffic will get worse as the day goes on mostly from people trying to get in, so I suggest that if you want to check it out go early and be there from 9am to 12:30 or 1pm at most

If you dock in the pan american pier I don't think you will have problems because the festival is in Old SJ

The caves can be done in a day same as the rain forest but they are pretty far apart so you would need to drive a bit. As for other things you can look at the bio bay if you need any help let me know
