Ill be hosting my cabin as part of a cabin crawl Any ideas for snacks and drinks to serve easily!?? Any ideas on what to bring from home greatly appreciated!!

We've been in a forward penthouse suite on the Jade...which I believe is the same class ship as the Gem. We've also sailed the Gem twice. I would say' date=' absolutely.....without a doubt...YES. Bid on it. It's a great suite. :)[/quote']

I like the idea of the suite perks but not sure about being completely forward on the ship or completely aft

If you were in Aft Balcony (B1) deck 10 family of 4------------------

would you bid for a forward Penthouse suite???????? both on Deck 10

the is for sailing on the GEM this june

perfect thats what i thought

when reading room descriptions every one says accommodates 3 for the SE category

but the inner 2 on deck10 have a + sign not a triangle

and according to the key thats a 4 person room

Can anyone confirm that some of the GEM category SE forward penthouse balcony rooms can SLEEP 4?

The NCL website and deck plans seems to have conflicting info

The places serving bfast will be in your dailies. And great outdoors serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon snacks and evening snacks

We sailed on the breakaway last May We tried all of the specialty places

We are sailing on the Gem in June

We are skipping moderno

and doing Le bistro cagney la cucina teppanyaki

Its certainly a matter of choice

and while we loved the Moderno salad bar we found the meat bleh

so for us we will skip it this time

Wondering what the difference is (besides decor) of these 2 restaurants?

We have 4 night specialty dining but wanted to try some of the complimentary too

I also would like to try Orchid Garden

Guys! I never even thought to ask room service for water!!!!!!! Hysterical! How stupid lol

Anyway I was saying I plan to purchase NCL small water package to keep in fridge in our cabin then fill up our own personal water bottles with it

But now I may just ask for a pitcher from room service!! Genius!

I did not buy bottle for my last trip When i was in my room late at night or early morning and i did not have cold water I was not happy I did not want to walk in my pajamas to the drink stations to fill up my mug

So yes I agree ship water is perfectly fine to drink I drink it all day long so do my children And we fill our bottles for excursions by using the ships cups and filling our bottle for sanitary reasons

BUT this time I'm purchasing the 6 liter bottles to have on hand in my room for convenience I never remember to take cold water back to my cabin after a long day at the pool

Except that booking a haven room directly - not bidding for an upgrade - still carries much better perks. No tips, specialty dining for every meal each day, shore credits (if you didn't pick that to begin with), internet etc.

 

You are getting more for the increased price of a direct booking.

So If you bid on a suite or Haven room and its accepted you will not receive all the perks that are associated with that level room?????

Im planning to set this up for my husband and son (9 yo) for our cruise on the Gem this June

Im going to stay on the ship with my teenage daughter! lol

Ive been trying to see whats the best touring plan its a big complex and our ship doesn't get into PC until 1pm so Im thinking they won't be getting there until around 2

Im planning on purchasing the transfers thru NCL and buying a one day ticket for both of them

Im still trying to figure out where they should start their tour

I know they will want to see

Space shuttle Atlantis

KSC bus tour

Apollo/Saturn V center

Children play dome

Imax movie

Hopefully someone can tell us what to do first

I will be sure to post a detailed trip report when I return

Ive been watching you tube videos to help me plan

Because I won't be with them I need to give my husband a specific plan before he leaves the ship so they can maximize their time!!!

But I've heard great things about it and it beats trying to get to Disney for the day!!!

Or any idea of what some of the scheduled activities are??

Are there opportunities to eat lunch/dinner at the clubs. Do they go to the sports deck?

It will be me and my husband and 2 children 13/9

This will be our 6th cruise, and our 2nd on NCL

We were on the much bigger breakaway last summer

I am looking forward to sailing on a smaller ship
