  1. I was there on June 24th of this year. That is less than a week ago. It does rent several items such as snorkel gear and those boards you lay on and look through the glass if you don't want to get in the water to see the fish. There is a bar with a really nice deck area. They also rent tables and chairs. The bathrooms were really clean.

I didn't see any problems other than the fact it rained the day we were there but we were wet from swimming and had an awesome time.

  2. Just off the Grandeur and I also got the Royal Replenish. It included everything in the Royal Freshment plus more. Bottled water was great. We stocked up a few to carry with us while in port. It included any drink from Starbucks (Cafe-latitudes). Fraps were my favorite. Any frozen drink without alcohol.

My favorite frozen was the lava flow. Strawberry and Pina Colada mix. I found out about it by going to the Schooner Bar and reading the menu.

  3. Just a little "2 cents" about the seaglass. I spoke to several Bermudians and unless you are at THE seaglass beach you are more than welcome to take all the seaglass you want. They don't like it. You will find the most seaglass at beaches along the north side of the island. Mangrove Bay back to the dockyard.

Sea glass is nothing more than broken bottles than have been smoothed by the time spent in the water. It's not some "protected" item.

  4. It is totally walkable. You get to see the houses that the people live in and the flora is gorgeous. It was by far way better than Horseshoe Bay. We are snorkelers and were so excited about all the rocks and fish. Horseshoe is for people who like to sit on the beach and swim. Tobacco Bay has an area that is for swimming with nice sandy bottom but it's not as big as Horseshoe. I can't wait to go back to Bermuda and Tobacco Bay.

  5. I personally think the walk to the sea glass beach would be a little farther than you think. I just returned from Bermuda and had the same plan. We ended up buying a 3 day pass and on the first day took the bus to the sea glass beach and hopped back on the bus and explored some of the lesser known stops. A local told us that any of the beaches you see (unless clearly marked) are public. We stopped at Mangrove Bay and worked our way back.

  6. Just to clarify. It is my son that is getting married. In Virginia you do not get an official copy of the certificate until it is turned in by the pastor and it is mailed back to you by the clerk.

I was thinking maybe an invitation and some photos on the phone would works but I was just getting a consensus opinion. I did however, get a chuckle out of the "rings" answer.

    thanks

  7. My family too booked Capt. Bob through Souiglaliiliaaa :p or however you spell it b/c of the excellent reviews. However, I think we are the only ones who didn't get what we expected. The obvious being we didn't get Capt. Bob. We were on the slow boat with Junior. We also had a deck hand that Capt. Bob didn't even know as he was introduced to him by Junior. Has anyone else heard of this. We didn't go thru the bay to cut through. We went all the way around. We didn't go to Pinel island and we stopped at Maho Beach at 9:30 ish a.m. No planes that early. There was also confusion about time. When I stated we get in at 8 a.m. I was suppose to let him know that was ship time. He wanted to know why we were late. You can see the ships come in so I figured he knew when we arrived and why we were late as he said.

I will agree that he has extraordinary email edicate. I did learn that he doesn't own those fast pirate boats. He rents or uses them thru the boat owner.

I guess I was just meant to be on the slow boat and our day was still great. I would actually say I would probably give him another try.

The lunch was awesome and so was the snorkel stops.

  8. Oh my gosh! Thank you SO much!!! I had given up hope that anyone would answer my question. This is great because the main thing I wanted to confirm was that they were NOT the same shows currently on Explorer of the Seas. In the past several years, I have taken a total of 4 cruises on Explorer and seen those shows 4 times. I'm SO happy that there are shows I haven't seen as yet.

Just got off the Enchantment and our shows were different than those previously given. We had different comedians, singers, and others. We had a magic act, juggler, an Osmand brother, and some other singer/entertainer. If you would like specifics I can get those for you. Have to pull out the compass.
