Does anyone have photos of cabin 11603 on the Getaway? We sail this Sunday and that is our cabin. It is an inside handicap cabin.

Is a food itemd - here beverage - regarded as complimentary when you have paid for it in a package????:confused::confused:

My wife and I always get in a cab at a local port and ask them to take us to a liquor store they would shop it. Our first trip to Belize we got a bottle of One Barrel Rum and it was cheaper at the store then a pack of ramen noodles. Cost me $4.

Anyone stayed in this room and know if its a good location? Noise? Any pictures?

I asked again, if they would ever offer a bundle price, if we ordered excursions at all the ports, and the answer was no. I am really not sure if some excursions are less expensive when ordering in advance

I have seen some third party companies like Shore Trips that have bundles...

I just contacted my TA and scored a $100 OBC for our balcony sailing on the Getaway next September.

We also loved the Getaway and in addition to the above suggestions - we'd stop by the dinner buffet to enjoy a Nutella/banana crepe!! Yummmmmmm

Love the Getaway and the service we received. We just returned from the Getaway today. Book entertainment and specialty restaurants prior to sailing. If there is something you want to experience in the Atrium arrive early always packed in there. The pool area is busy but we never had a problem finding a chair. During the Mr sexy Legs it was extremely packed and hard to find a place to stand. If you go to the complimentary dining and their is a particular waiter you enjoy you have the option to request them. We did and had tremendous service. The one thing I noticed that changed from the last time we were on the Getaway was they don't give you a slip to tip your waiter but there is a machine on board to break bigger bills so you are able to tip of you choose too

- watch Million Dollar Quartet

 

- attend the White Hot Party at H2O hosted by Cruise Director Andre

 

- take advantage of the waterfront. Walk around at night after a heavy meal. Not too crowded.

 

- if you are booked on a dining plan, book for seats by the waterfront at sunset.

 

 

 

Must Try

 

- Thermal Spa Pass

 

- Margaritaville. Although it's a la carte, they have big portions for a small fee. Two people can share one meal.

 

- If you drink, join the Mojito tasting session.

 

 

 

Avoid

 

- if you have no kids and want peace and quiet, avoid the pool deck and instead use the pool at the thermal spa.

 

- if you hate smoke, avoid the casino. You can walk around the ship through the waterfront to avoid casino smoke.

 

 

 

Have fun.

Don’t feel obligated to spend money. We have done MANY cruises with no expenses other than our daily service charges.

I drive that road almost daily. I live in Mahahual. Everyone here is devastated. This just doesn't happen here. All of our thoughts and prayers are with the families and those that lost a dear friend. Authorities will figure it out. But, don't start rumors that the driver of the bus was drunk or fell asleep. In my 10 years here, this has never happened. Those buses have or supposed to have a speed limiter which won't let them go faster than 90 Kilometers per hour. That is the law here for buses. The road speed limit is 90 Kilometers. so good chance it wasn't speeding. More likely a tire blow out or an animal darting across the road and the drive trying to miss it. That is more likely on that road.

My brother is on Equinox with his wife. We got no answers from the shore side information line. I called the ship and asked to be connected to their room. The operator told me that they were involved in the accident, but that she had no further information about their condition. I'm on hold with the shore side office now, trying to find out about their status. Please pray.

My family and I will pray for all of those involved. So sad that a child is one of those that passed.
