  1. Did you ever get this resolved?  I’m in the same situation and called in several days ago and they opened an IT ticket and promised it would be fixed within one day.  That was 4 days ago and still not working nor any contact from them.

  2. Has anyone been able to add the Plus package (gratuities, wifi, drink package) after the final payment date?  I tried doing that today and was told it cannot be added after final payment.  I did not see anything in the FAQ section stating that and am curious if anyone else has had success doing this?  I know sometimes it just takes calling back in and asking a different person.  Thanks!

  3. My parents are currently on this cruise and the information regarding their flights home has been very inconsistent.  I've been following how Princess has been handling all of this over the last few weeks and overall think they've done an outstanding job.  Is anyone on here scheduled for a Delta flight home?  My parents were originally booked on Delta broom Buenos Aires to Atlanta.  That flight has been cancelled by Delta for a week and my parents just received an email from Princess EZAIr that their original flight is still on.  Sounds like what they just said for AA.  My parents were very happy to see this, but I don't believe this is correct information.  My biggest worry is that they will get off the boat thinking that they have a flight only to arrive at the airport to discover that's incorrect.

We will be doing a British Isles cruise in August and getting off a day early in LeHarve. Are there any car rental companies at the cruise terminal?  I need to pick up a car there and drop it off in Paris several days later.  If there are no rentals at the terminal will any of the companies come pick us up at the terminal and take us to the rental location?

    Thank you in advance.

We are renting one from Sixt for our day in Le Havre later this month.  I'm not sure what their policies are regarding one way rentals, but they do have a location very close to the port.

  5. Can anyone that was on the May 4th British Isles cruise share what time they were docked and able to disembark the ship on their first day in port?  Also, how early did the Princess shuttles run or were taxis available?  We have a private excurstion planned that day and need to be in the downtown area by 6:45am.  Thank you!

  6. Has anyone that has stayed in one of these cabins done the Ultimate Balcony Dining? We have one of these booked this summer for a Baltic cruise and would love to book a UBD, but am worried about it being too windy and not as nice since we would not have a water view while dining.

I'm curious to hear from anyone that has experience with this. Was it too windy? Did you miss having a view of the water while sitting and eating?

    Thank you!

  7. We just booked our flights for our June 21st cruise. We are flying into Athens a couple of days before the cruise and decided to fly home from Paris.

We usually fly out of Detroit, but airfares were up around $1500. We found great deals flying out of Toronto...only $680 roundtrip on AirFrance! This is about half of what we had budgeted for airfare and for four of us, the savings really adds up. It's worth the 4 hour drive to Toronto.

So, for anyone else that's within a few hour drive of Toronto, definitely check out their fares.

  8. Honestly, expecting a price drop on aft wrap cabins in probably not realistic, no matter how many/few there are. They're a premium cabin and usually get scooped up well before any chance of a price drop. Just speaking from experience there. If you want a price drop, you're much better off with a more "common" category. We never expect a price drop if we pick a premium category. We're in a Havana Cabana and they've all been sold out on our sailing for weeks now.

I agree not to expect a price drop with an aft wrap. That's why we were excited that the ones up on deck 9 were categorized as regular balconies (8Ds) when we booked. We were told they were categorized as 8Ds because these rooms are smaller than the ones on the decks below. So, that's why we're disappointed to see them recategorized.

  9. This is not good for us as we are booked in the aft wrap on deck 9, which was a 8D. We purposely picked this cabin as it was categorized as a regular balcony and we would have more opportunities for price drops. With this change, there are only 4 cabins in this category and they are all sold out.

We have not received an email from Carnival about this change yet. We are reconsidering if we want to stay in this cabin. We love the aft wraps, but the price is a little higher than what we hoped to pay.

  10. We chose option 1 because it had the extra port. We will be staying a couple of days before and after the cruise as well. We are only planning one full day in Athens and will be going to Santorini for a two days before the cruise.

We did a Mediterranean cruise on the Breeze in 2012 and had a cove balcony, which we loved! We did not consider a Havana Cabana for this cruise because with only one sea day and the schedule of these ports, we won't be on board to enjoy the use of the pool during the day. We are booked in a aft wrap instead and are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying the views from the balcony!

  11. For comparison purposes with Rome in Limo, check out Joe Bananas Limos and Share a shore excursion italy. We used Joe Bananas for a private tour of the Amalfi Coast back in 2012 and had a wonderful day with them. We used the share a shore excursion company in Livorno to visit Pisa and Florence…also highly recommend them.

We are booked on the Vista for June of 2016 and plan on visiting Cinque Terre from Livorno. Our plan is to rent a car as suggested earlier.

  12. Well we're back and we were very satisfied with the choice of Victor Bodden tours. It was an easy walk to the just outside the port area and our driver was great. The ziplines were a blast. I lost count but I think it was around 10-12 lines. Some were quite long and high and all were fun. It used a double line system for safety. The staff was able to catch my 240 pound husband every time. The monkeys were a riot and the scarlet macaws stole my husbands hat.

The beach at Bananarama was a bit crossed but we had our own little area with chairs included. Snorkeled right off the beach albeit a little farther down the beach to find fish. They had a trampoline in the water we could use. Yummy drinks from the bar. We used bug spray for our feet and saw ants in the sand but no bites. We kept all belongings up on a chair so no critters came home.

Victor Bodden was a good choice for us. I highly recommend them.

Did you end up zip lining at South Shore? We will be in Roatan next week and have a private tour booked with Victor Bodden and have been struggling with planning out the day to maximize our time there.

May I ask what time you did the zip lines and how long you spent there? Thanks!

  13. Curious to know how this went for you?

We booked with a different company (we enjoyed the South Shore part of it) and am waiting for a resolution before writing a review of this port.

We leave next Saturday so I'll post a follow-up when we return. Sounds like you had a problem with your day here…hope it didn't ruin your time here.

  14. From looking at youtube videos and reading reviews here and on trip advisor, the zip lines at Victor Bodden's don't look to be as scenic or as fast and long. Everyone in our group has ziplined at other places before and we're looking for something more thrilling.

We're going to go ahead and stick with our private tour with VB and request to go to South Shore….hope there's no problems or attitude with this request! :)
