Thanks.  Hopefully you figure it out before the end of the cruise.  Have fun!

  2. If awarded the Move Up bid, do I receive the additional benefits of the new cabin?  I am already in a CS so I get the premium drinks and WiFi so the real question is if I am upgraded to a EV do I then also get Specialty Dining?  Thank you for your help…

Has anybody used Skylux Travel or any other discounted provider for international business class air fare? If so, please share your experiences and whether this is a good option and if you would do this again.  The rates seem amazing, but wondering if it is a reputable option.  Thank you in advance for your insights.

  4. Looking to select a Sky Suite on the Infinity for an Antarctica cruise.  Wondering if 6131 or 6132 are any larger than other Sky Suite cabins.  The deck plan appears to indicate they might be.  The balcony also looks larger as well; is it fully covered?  Any comments as to size as well as whether there is excessive elevator noise will be appreciated.  Another option is 6125 or 6126 which appear to have larger balconies as well. Thanks for the help...

  5. thumbnail?appId=aolwebmail&downloadWhenThumbnailFails=true&pid=3thumbnail?appId=aolwebmail&downloadWhenThumbnailFails=true&pid=4These are a couple Royal Suite photos provided to me by Celebrity.  They did not have any of the Celebrity Suitie; however, contacted the ship to get them.  Will forward once I receive them.

  6. I was wondering if the entrance to the corner aft S1 suite has the private alcove similar to the S-Class ships.  This is where you enter through a hallway door before actually going through the cabin door.  Celebrity previously advised me that it would have it, but this was before the ship was completed and many things have changed since then.  Also, is the connection to the adjacent cabin in the actual cabin or in the hallway area.

  7. I will be in a S1 in August cruising Ireland and Iceland. My decision is whether to choose cabin 9376 which has staterooms above and below or jump on the opportunity to get cabin 2148 which has the outside deck of the restaurant above it.

I have been in this cabin before but did not remember sound issues of chairs scrapping the deck during colder climate sailings; however, last year in the cabin next door it was a little annoying in a Mediterranean cruise with a warmer climate. What are your thoughts.

Also, has anyone noticed a difference in cabins and/or sizes between decks.

Finally, what about butler service on the lower decks. Is there a difference in service and response from the butler to service those locations as there are only two suites on the deck.

    Thanks

    Alan

  8. We have stayed in 2148 and 2150 before without a problem; however, in cooler climate cruises. Just got off the October 11th sailing in 2150 to the Western Med and found the chair scraping quite continuous usually beginning at 6:00 am. We are booked in the same cabin next August and looking to get a cabin a deck or two lower. The disadvantage to this is the balcony is not totally covered as it is on the Resort Deck, but it is quitter!!! Hope this helps.

  9. We were on the Silhouette with Anca for a Baltic cruise in September 2015. She is the best and I agree with everything said. Nothing was too hard for her to accomplish and she was always willing to go the extra mile. She made time to be with all her guests.

Will again be on the Silhouette in October 2017 for a Western Mediterranean cruise and are hoping to see her again...

  10. Thank you so much for the timely blog. We will be sailing back to back September 11th and 18th encorporating both Alaska and the Pacific Coast. How about the entertainment? Please let us know about the shows and the other entertainment in the lounges...

  11. NO, absolutely not a single sign! No added precautions taken in any of the common areas that I could see either. Something that we always do is start taking oil of oregano capsules starting the week before the trip and each day of. There are a lot of studies that oregano oil will reduce or prevent one from getting stomach viruses. Make sure that you buy a good quality one in a vitamin shop.

Thank you ginak1112 for the update...
