  1. We’re on this cruise too but flying out on the 30th of December from Birmingham, our flight is at 06.15 with Jet2. I should imagine that your flight time will also be early morning as they will want to ensure you can board in plenty of time before we leave Tenerife early evening on the 31st.

If you Google   ‘Azamara CEO email’   you should be able to find this info .. (use one of the sites offering several free lookups before you have to subscribe).

We had success using this method to escalate our issue.

    Good luck

Thank you Uktraveller, used one such site as you suggested and got the email address, hopefully I will get a response!

  3. Thank you both for your responses. I did wonder about the terms and conditions but as I was barred from going on the cruise by Azamara’s  own Covid policy ( as it was back in April ) I do wonder if I have a claim under unfair contract regulations as UKtog mentioned above. I haven’t claimed under my insurance so far as my flights were paid for using Avios points and I was able to get those returned to me and I have my FCC so it’s just the cabin upgrade cost that I’m still chasing. I haven’t been able to speak to anyone senior enough to further my request for refund, hence why I was hoping  that somebody on the board may be kind enough to share an email of someone within Azamara HQ that I could direct my query to? Incidentally we are rebooked for next May,  I’m just very frustrated that I can’t get any response at all from Azamara.

  4. Hi,

like many I’ve had a very frustrating time trying to contact Azamara and I wondered if anyone had an email address that they could share?

I’m still trying to get my stateroom upgrade refund for a cancelled April cruise, which I cancelled when I caught Covid, under the ‘Cruise with Confidence’ policy. I have managed to get my FCC after many hours on the phone but apparently the room upgrade refund needs to come from ‘accounting’ and this is still tied in with RCI as I think everything still is? I’m losing all hope of ever getting it back! It’s over £1200 so not an insignificant amount to write off!

Thank you for any help/suggestions that you can give.

A travel agent has posted an advance copy of the Azamara email of FB, it’s due to new regulations regarding cruise ships in Venice introduced by the Italian government.
There will be airport transfers provided and an offer of FCC, this was obviously the U.S. version there may well be different versions for other markets due to the differing regulations.

I saw this too and would be very happy if the same offer is extended to us in the UK. This will be our first cruise with Azamara and is much anticipated and longed for holiday and a (belated by a year)50th birthday present for me, so we have decided to be flexible and roll with whatever comes our way. I do appreciate, however that if you haven’t experienced Venice before or you’re travelling independently or long haul it’s disappointing and potentially complicated to unravel and rearrange.

I do hope everyone impacted by the change is able to work their arrangements out.

  6. I was kind of expecting a change of Port for Venice because of all the issues of where to

port after the ban by Venetian authorities on ships over a certain tonnage. We have our flights

and transfers through Azamara so we are not too concerned but feel for those who are arriving independently and now have to do a last minute rearrange of  their plans.

  7. Good morning, I just wanted to share this update as I know a number of people have cruises booked embarking/disembarking in Venice. I’ve just logged onto my cruise planner and found that Ravenna has replaced Venice for our Sailing on the Pursuit 15th and 16th of April. No communication from Azamara about this change yet but I will post an update if anything is received.

  8. I feel compelled to chime in here and agree with both Snaxmuppet and Wowzz regarding the food quality and meal service  on Sky Princess. I agree also with the various posters that have said supply chain issues and the fall out from COVID have affected the dining experience. We were on the October 15th sailing from Southampton and this was our first cruise with Princess. We had Club Class dining and honestly it was extremely disappointing. Quality issues included poor cuts of meat which were over cooked and chewy. All meals tasted incredibly salty to the point it was the overriding flavour. Menu items often not available, I ordered the Country Breakfast Special which when it arrived was missing the corned beef hash as apparently they didn’t have any on the ship. Instead I was served a plate of baked beans with a rubbery egg and a piece of bread that wasn’t even toasted. Why they couldn’t tell me before I ordered that the special was  not available I don’t know, this was hardly the special and attentive service that is advertised. I have many more instances and examples but suffice to say we won’t be cruising with Princess again as food is such an integral part of the experience. That said the ship is beautiful and we made the best of our week away and enjoyed the ports, onboard bars and live music.

By all accounts,  the rule is not being strictly enforced currently.

I would wait and see what is happening in reality before complaining.

We are onboard now, enjoying a great  cruise with lovely sunshine! The reality is that the sip and cover protocol is only  being enforced in the theatre and Princess Live. We are in Take Five waiting for the Jazz set to start, lovely atmosphere and no mask required when seated to enjoy your drinks. I will add that the mask protocol is being well observed when walking around the ship and in the lifts etc as it should be.  I hope this may alleviate some concerns.

  10. Thank you everyone, your thoughts and experiences have been really helpful to my husband and I. We have decided for Queen Mary 2 to go with a Standard balcony and dining, given that the Club balcony cabins are on decks 12 & 13 forward and I don’t have the steadiest of sea legs! However, we would like to try Club dining on our next Queen Victoria sailing as the dining room there looks particularly lovely and more convenient than on QM 2.

  11. We’re looking to book QM2 - Norwegian Fjords itinerary for 2022 and would appreciate opinions on Britannia Club dining? The price differential is circa £500pp between club and a sheltered balcony, higher level balconies show as ‘sold out’ currently.

All feedback very welcome, thank you.

Yes..open at lunch time....sorry if that wasn’t clear.
we both had a delightful bowl of risotto for lunch on embarkation in November!

That sounds just our sort of thing too, we plan to try The Glass House for our embarkation lunch as we are not really buffet fans.

  13. Thank you everyone, it wasvery helpful to hear from previous Aurora cruisers. We have booked C deck, mid ship, and gone for second sitting dining, plus we have persuaded our friends to join us too! Looking forward to trying a smaller ship experience with P and O

  14. Thank you both very much  for your replies, we are going with mid-aft on C deck.  Strangely, I have found that I can cope with aft much better than forward! This will be our first cruise on Aurora, so we are looking forward to trying a smaller ship experience with P&O.

  15. We are looking to book a 7 night cruise on the Aurora for April 2020 and have had a quote for a balcony on C deck or A deck both aft and mid-aft. I don’t have brilliant sea legs and have found forward is a complete no go for me! Mid-ship is ideal but we are trying to keep costs down as this is an extra holiday to others already booked for this year. I would appreciate thoughts from previous Aurora guests on Deck A or C cabins.

    Many thanks

  16. Hi, I stayed in a Cabin E731 on my very recent ( 14-21 July ) Azura cruise. The balcony for this cabin is much bigger than standard and is part solid and part plexi glass and steel. Great for a family in terms of size and shaded by the overhang which gives protection from the elements but doesn’t block all the sun either. We heard no noise whatsoever from the Manhattan lounge below, in fact this area of the ship is very quiet as we only had a suite beyond us in the corridor! You do feel some vibration when docking but ther than that it’s a great spot to be in plus it’s the cheapest balcony grade too.

  17. I have no idea how many of us are invited.

    CC71, whereabouts are you?

Mrs Miggins, where in Surrey are you?

We’ll be driving down from near Junction 3 of M3.

    Corinne.

Corinne, we are driving from South Leicestershire and have booked a hotel for the Monday evening given that it’s quite a drive for us. We are very much looking forward to it and to meeting everyone.

  18. Hello, I’m new to the Azamara board so please be kind:)

We are seriously considering an Alaskan cruise in 2019 with Azamara, however I have done a few Celebrity cruises and so have a Le Club Voyage membership number. I was able to register for the upcoming Pursuit tour on the 31st of July and had the tickets and email confirmation immediately. However I wanted to check that my husband and I are eligible to join the tour as I don’t want to incur the expense of a hotel and parking not to mention the long journey to Southampton to discover that we are not able to. I would be really grateful if anyone knows how I could go about contacting someone from Azamara who might be able to help?

    Many thanks
