Review Continued ....
Embarkation: Simple, easy and well organized. We were scheduled for 12pm-1230p and arrived around 1130am - We moved through the line with ease and were on the boat by 12pm
Interior Room: Average size for other ships we have been on. Beds were a little smaller than a twin but comfortable. Our room 10290 was RIGHT NEXT TO THE CREW Storage. They were in and out of theres with carts all night long and started early AM. I would not reccomend this room unless you are a neavy sleeper.FOOD: The buffet had a varity of food every day. some items were the same each day, some changed daily. The breakfast was everything from eggs, bacon, pastries, oat meal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread, bagels, meats, cheeses, etc... Very nice variety. Complimentary beverages were coffee, tea, water and a couple juice choices. I really liked the breakfast buffet of all the meals served there. My one request would be to offer a made to order egg/omlet station with fresh eggs and toppings.
The lunch served was a good variety too, hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, chicken, fish, rice, etc.... The pizza was very good - they offered a couple different options each day.
The dinner buffet was average - we only ate there once and it was okay, nothing to write home about.
The dining room food was of low quality in comparision to the other cruise lines I have been on. I ordered the strip steak and it was Golden Coral quality and it was served room temp. The mashed potatoes were runny and tasteless (Def NOT real). The serving sizes were small by American standards. Each night I would order 3-4 starters to make sure I had enough food. The desserts had NO flavor. The salads and soups tasted decent. Overall I was NOT impressed by the dining room food.
DRINKS: Amazing drinks. We had the Easy Plus Drink Package it included all beer options available on board, frozen drinks, mixed drinks, specialty coffee, bottles water. A very good value for your money. There is NO limit on how may drinks you can have. Most bartenders will give you 2-3 drinks at a time. HIGHLY RECOMMNEND getting the drink package
STAFF: Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. Always smiling and saying hello.
ENTERTAINMENT: We attended the:
Legnds of Rock show. It was kind of cheesy but entertaining.
Comedian: PG but funny
Love and Marriage Show: Very Funny, would reccomend attending
White Party - Fun dance party held on the Lido deck - everyone was dressed in white. It was a fun theme
SHIP: This ship was clean, on the smaller size and could use more bathrooms (public bathrooms were hard to find and not in the usual places you would have expected like outside the theatre, near bars and restaurants, etc...)
Overall I would give this cruise a 4 out of 5 stars.
You get what you pay for!

New MSC Customers here. Weve sailed on Carnival and NCL. This time our group of 4 ladies booked 2 interior cabins on the 10th floor of the Magnifica for the Apriul 22-26 2024 sailing to Freeport and Nassau Bahamas. Pricing was around $1200 for each cabin (included Easy Plus drink package, WIFI for 1 device and $25 OBC). We probably could have gotten a much better rate, but we thought this was decent at the time of booking (I have since booked a 7 day on the Seaside in a balcony cabin for $1400 for 2 people, with Easy Plus drink package, WIFI and a $100 OBC - so lesson learned on pricing.

I just got off the Magnifica - Beer was served in regular 12oz cans and bottles. I highly recommend the Easy Plus Drink Package. This package covers all beers, fruity drinks, frozen drinks, specialty coffee, bottles of flat and sparkling water. The liquor served in theis package was brands, Tito's Vodka, Bacardi and Cap. Morgan Rum, etc....
Glad you enjoyed the review and pics!
I do drink but not a beer drinker so can't help you. I can tell you that a Bacardi and Diet Coke is $10.62 total including tip. That is more than Virgin ($6) but less than most mainstream lines like Royal, NCL, and Carnival.
Bon Voyage and enjoy your cruise!

I have a cruise booked on Seaside for December 2024. I got a GREAT deal on a balcony cabin with drink package, WIFI and $100 OBC. I bought during the Presidents Day Sale. I have several family and friends who now want to join us on this cruise, but the prices have gone up quite a bit . Does anybody know when MSC runs their sales? Thank you in advance.

We are sailing this Sunday on the Splendor. Because of the hurricanes our itinerary has been reduced from 4 ports to 3 ports. I would like to know if Carnival added any extra activities, entertainment, or things to do on the extra sea day? Also for those that had this happen to them, what, if any, port fees were returned to you?
Thanks for your help!

Access to the free beaches on Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay are as simple as getting off the ship and either walking or tendering to the island. Freeport is another story... you'll need to take a cab.

We just got off the Glory on Feb 16th and we wanted the exact same thing. On the first night we spoke to the dining room manager and he changed our table to a "table for 2" on the first night and for the remainder of the cruise. If your in the Platinum Dining room, the Mgr. is Chubby from Hungary (that's how he introduced himself to us :) - very nice guy!

1) Ship and length of cruise - Carnival, Glory - 7days
2) How many days before the cruise were you called? 7 days
3) number of people sailing - 2
4) Cabin type you were booked in and deck - 8B Balcony, Deck #7
5) upsell offer cabin type and price - Ocean Suite, $249 per person additional
We booked a balcony cabin at the rate of $739 per person, which I thought was a good deal. I didn't take this upsell because I would rather spend the extra $500 on excursions.

On my last Carnival cruise (2012), we bought "classic drinks" from the bar... a waitress told us to take the receipt to the Casino cashier to get $5 match play certificates. We did this and used the match plays on our last night to play blackjack for hours. Is this tip still valid?

We are on the Dawn for the Jan. 13th cruise and have booked cabin #8562. It is an obstructed oceanview. I have read conflicting reviews on this room. I know that it "used" to be locate over Dazzles Nightclub, but I think that the nightclub was replaced with the Shops when the ship went into DryDock. I have also read that there is a maintenance/cleaning closet located next to the roon, but not sure if that is still there. Lastly how bad is the obstruction? I've read conflicting reviews on this as well.
Can anyone give me a review, likes/dislikes, pics of cabin 8562. Thanks in advance :)
